Thank you everyone for your info. In a typical military fashion, they canceled my trip due to snafu on their part. The medical supply I was supposed to pick up was not located in Tracy, CA, but a couple thousand miles away. They just messed up. We already spend money on trucks and refundable lodging. We lost money for nothing.

For those who wonder about govt auctions, we did some of those too. Sometimes you get real bargain. Sometime you get all junk. If you get the right person who know about your lot, they can be very helpful. But most of the time, the contact is someone who are higher up and know nothing about your particular auction.

Park your car in a garage/lot near where you need to go.

Lock your isht up in the trunk/etc.

Call an Uber to take you the rest of the way. Or walk.

      Sorry, not sorry.

Well that sucks. How are you going to get the stuff you've already paid for?
        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

You don't just show up to at a federal installation and drive in with a guest without prior approval.

Can you pre-arrange an uber trip a week or more in advance to be sure you get the drivers license, insurance and license plate numbers right when you pre-arrange to go on to the installation a week prior?
