I think a lot of people do this or say this without thinking.

I am not the only one that voted that it is not a good thing, yet I am the one that is willing to have a discussion as to why I feel this way. Instead of embracing that, and your not the only one it feels like everyone wants to go after my personally without knowing me from smart comments, to people won't spend money if I had a store. All because I think that training is needed, based on my real life experiences. I never said I want to be the only one allowed to carry concealed guns, I never said that all concealed gun was a bad thing. Even the more I think about it constitutional carry it probably different state to state.

You would never force me to agree with you, and if my views which are am willing to put out and have a discussion about in a adult manner caused you not to spend money at my store, etc. well than that be on you.
Dude, the amount of hypocrisy from the far right on this board is insane. The same guys you are talking about probably complain about cancel culture ALL DAY to their buddies and annoyed wives... when it suits them.

The life saved with training may just be my life. I have been a deputy sheriff investigating a incident at night when someone scared home owner who had no real training randomly opened fire on us. Could have easily been killed by him.

I think people argue for constitutional carry without thinking about everything A to Z.
Used to work at a shooting range. The number of "where is the 'any' key?" idiots who brought in brand new guns and were extremely dangerous was insane. I've probably had more loaded guns pointed at me than most people. And the numbskulls on this board want them to have the right to carry that gun out in public around me with no training or oversight or whatever??? They want some "never held a gun - where does the clip-azine go?" person to be able to walk out of BassPro and shove that new Glock down their waistband???

        'the F outa here.

I can only conclude that most people who voted FOR constitutional carry are opposed to gun safety. That's really the net of it. They WANT people out walking around being unsafe with guns.

With a serial stabber running around Davis I believe people should have the right to defend themselves and families.

The 2nd Amendment affirms the right to bear arms, but it does not absolve anyone from personal responsibility in the use of a firearm.

I firmly believe training should be required for all first time firearms purchases and carry. I believe everyone should have to qualify to a certain level of expertise. I want the training to be rigorous and to a high standard.

Back in the "olden days," people practiced shooting to become proficient because their lives depended on it. We should have the same mentality nowadays, despite being "city folk."

People who advocate the purchasing and carrying of firearms with zero training lack wisdom.

Based on that heresy, some folks on here would say that you hate guns, gun owners, the 2nd Amendment, and don't want people to be able to defend themselves.

Yeah, you're really the f*cking voice of reason here, 'eh ?

For the last bolded part, those for C.C. are not for mandated training.

Is that clear and simple, or do you need it written out in crayon?

One man's training is another man's crappy bullsh*t class. Who will set the standards of "training", you? Government? The NRA?

C.C. is the law here in TX, has been for years. The commies were predicting blood in the streets, accidental shootings everyday, mass hysteria, and none of it materialized. Not a peep from these stupid commie morons since.

The 2nd Amendment states shall not be infringed. Big Pimping hit the nail on the head in his post. But it has gone above yours.

Please stay in CA. Don't infect other free states.

This is a private forum and moderators could've deleted any post and censored anyone, yet they didn't. No cancel culture here, the only requirement is a civil discourse. And you picked one post that seems tongue in cheek to generalize about people whose actions of not canceling anyone went straight over your head.

Besides, not patronizing a business wouldn't even be the cancel culture. Cancel culture is attacking *others* who patronize or support the business.

ALL the questions I posed relate directly to the bolded sentence in his post that I quoted.

don't be afraid to read it.

No, the numbskulls on this board don't want anyone to have any right, the rights we are talking about already exist and are inalienable human rights, we merely recognize how a constitutional republic as a society works. This is in contract to, e.g., a dictatorship where numbskulls like you make an emotional proclamation and declare themselves the arbiters of the society who will take the rights of others away.

The real question is why you still believe that second amendment doesn't mean what it says and why you believe that the simple and logical interpretation provided by justice Thomas in Bruen doesn't apply to you or to the people who you endearingly call "numbskulls."

What do you suggest the penalty for violating this proposed law of yours should be? 30 days in jail? Loss of gun rights?

More importantly, how do you justify your requirement in light of what the Supreme Court said about what 2A means? Are you saying that we ignore the Supreme Court and the Constitution simply because you don't feel it's right, because you think you know what's best for the society, or for some other reason that makes you the decision maker?

Not guns and gun owners, but yes on 2nd Amendment - the proposal in that post is inconsistent with the 2A, we know because the body that interprets the Constitution said so.

So, even if he doesn't hate 2A, he wants to bypass it in order to save people from themselves and, you know, because he's a good person who will make this country a better place only if we will give up our constitutional rights to the whim of people like the two of you, who know best what's good for everyone else.
