With that, I think taking up reloading may be in order.
Well reloading was great when primers were around $60 for a thousand online add a $20 hazmat fee.
Now it's around a$100 for a thousand plus shipping AND THATS IF YOU CAN FIND THEM . sportsman Warehouse had single packs of 100 limit two for a little over 5 bucks each . I bought two went outside turned my hat around backwards went back in and spoke with a new York accent . They did not even crack a smile as they told me to come back the next day . Some people just refuse to lighten up .

Unless there's a move in the senate then:

There won't be a panic for most people over 21.
There won't be a panic for most people with 0 violent offenses.
There won't be a panic for most who bought in 2020-21.

          • The Buffalo and Uvalde mass shootings that occurred in May 2022 killing ~30 combined resparked calls for gun control and more legislation
          • On May 31st, Canada announced their handgun ban which further fuels gun owners understanding that legislation eventually leads to confiscation
          • California also announced their own "largest gun buyback program ever" during the same week. Presumably more laws to come.
          • The same day that Canada banned handguns, US President Biden tried to make the case that 9mm rounds blow lung out of bodies in an eery allusion to claiming those rounds are too powerful
          • Today on 6/1, NY Gov. Hochul announced a bunch of laws including raising age of semi auto rifles to 21, requiring permits for semi-auto rifles alongside handguns, and banning body armor for civilians
          • We do not know what official laws will be presented at the federal level, but speculation includes red flag laws, universal background checks, raising age of purchase to 21, and safe storage requirements.
          • Furthermore, the US Supreme Court will be releasing their decisions on two politically loaded topics by July 1st: right to carry firearms (NYSRPA) and states rights to ban abortion and overturn Roe V Wade.
          • In addition to all of this, we have the midterms in fall 2022 which has historical always caused a baked in level of panic buying.

My question to all of you given the above points, have you noticed any panic buying as of late? Do you foresee it occurring?

Guys I’m about to panik buy a few aero stripped lower for $75 each because I realized I’m down to 2 unbuilt stripped lowers in my safe.

I can’t wait for them to go back down to $50 each. What if I suddenly get bored and want to assemble a few more rifles?!

                  Rush on magazines!

Friends in the Industry are telling me that, within the last seventy-two hours, online retailers are limiting magazine sales to two or three per order.

Magazines manufactured by Glock, MagPul, Circle 10, Lancer, Okay, Thril, Duramag, et al are all suddenly in short supply!

Over the past few days, sales, particularly of 30-round M4 magazines, have increased exponentially.

                  Retailers are cleaned-out!

In WA there is a lot of mag buying taking place. Not a panic, prudent stocking up before the July 1st ban on purchases takes effect.

The late Mike Rahaague( who for decades ran a range and hunting club), once told me that he had some of his best years economically when a gun grabbing democrat was in office. People want to buy and use them before the restrictions. The funny thing is that I am old enough to see a few decades with this phenomenon, and the guns and our sports are never loss. I bet the Dems have some stock in guns and ammo or at least kickbacks because when they are in office, gun industry BOOMS, literally.

I think giving 3 to my daughter counts as that.

I don't see a panic yet, this bastard inflation is holding things down. There's still alotta stock out there, not like previous panics where everybody and his brother ran out and bought a Cadillac AR or AK (or paid Cadillac prices anyways).

No panic visible in my town. The LGSs are stocked better than I’ve seen since New Year 2019. People are buying for sure but it’s not like 2020.
