Normal to show delayed after 30 days are up? 30 Days passed, went in minutes after my time and showed Delayed.

Will it switch to undetermined tomorrow? Confused. FFL thinks 30 days started when DOJ notified them of delay, but PC 28220 says:

Should I try again tomorrow? Or is it 30 days from delay notification?

Which it was. We counted the days together, which is when the FFL began to assume it was from the date of delay notification which sounded incorrect.

First time delayed here. Valid CCW holder & State issued guard card from BSIS, still got delayed. What a joke!

Following up; was moved to undetermined and the eagle has landed.

Looks like the DOJ moved it manually, as the earliest pick-up time showed as early this morning, which was technically 31 days after DROS.

tsk tsk Bonta boi....you done violated the law according to PC 28220.

Longest I have waited past the 30 days with 6 days to a total of 36 Days even though it's released on undetermined the FFL still has to get a release number from the doj and their hands are tied until they receive that number had one experience where they were waiting for one to come through the snail mail I've had an experience to where they had to call the doj to get numbers not just for me but for more people too that were on that status you just have to wait

The DROS day is Day 0 on the count so you start counting the day AFTER the DROS as day 1 and then up to 30.
So if you entered DROS on December 27th, the 28th is the 1st day and then Janauary 26th is the 30th day.

That's why we say 30 24 hour periods.
It ends up being 31 days after the DROS was entered if you count the day of DROS as day 1.
The problem with counting the DROS day as day 1 is that 24 hours have not lapsed when you got to day 1 which is why the DROS day is day 0.

The important factor to remember is that it does not start from the time it goes from pending to delayed I had a counter person try to tell me it started from the delay start I just agreed with him and called back the next day and talked to someone else about my question . There was no point in arguing with him .

The $1 ammo check is not actually running a background check.

The ammo check is simply comparing your name/address info to see if it finds a successful DROS of a firearm in the past with a perfect match of the information that you entered for the ammo check.

If the information you enter on the ammo check does not perfectly match what you previously entered on a successful firearm DROS, then you get rejected on the ammo check.

The feds told CA that CA can not use the NICS system for ammo background checks so CA's solution was to simply search the CA DROS history for a match of a successful firearm background check from the past and use that past successful background check to satisfy the ammunition law's background check requirements.

So the delay takes place from what I know anytime between the initial start of the dros and the tenth day . I had one hit delay on day 6 and another on day 10 I think .so you had to wait 40 days before the computer changed to undetermined? How long did it take before it was able to be released to you from the time of undetermined ?

So if that's how fast they can check to see if you are who you are and that you live at the same address and have successfully completed a dros ? But it's the whole common name thing that takes 30+ days to not figure out even with a SS number which apparently means nothing? I have a feeling that the doj is implementing atf tactics . Seeing how long and how far they can take it ultimately resulting in the automatic denial for everyone ..
i.e. "sorry you have been denied "
                              Why
"Don't know but here call this number "
8-9 months later hello this is the doj . There was a problem, please send us this and that and 50 bucks for processing.
                              6 months later
Hello doj i sent in my .......
Oh yeah . OK we fixed it go ahead and dros again .
                              30+ days later undetermined

Well well, I checked the Applicant Background Check Status portal and to my surprise, the Firearms background check was completed on 01/25/23 which was submitted on 07/29/22 their a speedy efficient group so let's see how long it takes before I get the results.
