My renewal only took 30 days back in October.

Got an email back saying mine was incomplete, they want my 03 FFL # again, even though there is nowhere to enter it on the application. I entered it under comments and resubmitted so we will see what happens.

I received the same email....it looks just like this as I copied and pasted...

"Please provide your Federal Firearms License (FFL) Type 03 Collector of Curios and Relics FFL Number via email to the COE Unit at: COE@doj.ca.gov . If you do not have an FFL-03, please indicate the reason for wanting a COE in the email. Be sure to include your first and last name and California Drivers License/Identification Card number in your email response, thank you!"

It clearly says to email your FFL03# to the CoE Unit at the email address provided. That's probably why you did not find it on the application. Anyways, that's what I did and we'll see what happens...hope this helps.

Or you could have asked them to provide the CA PC that requires you to provide that information.

Spoiler alert - there is no PC requiring that you provide it.

          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Yeah, it seems the DOJ is trying to make it more and more difficult with each passing year just to renew....frustrating at best and makes one not wanna go through it all and just move to a free state.

            Good luck ...

It only takes about 10 minutes at the DMV, and about 10 minutes online to upload your documents. You're going to have to do it eventually anyway, so just do it now.
I have zero intention of jumping through their BS to obtain a Real ID.

All the BS they are asking for was provided to them more than 40 years ago when I originally applied for my first license. I know it is pig-headed, but I am not going to give it to them again. I have a passport and passport card and just intend to keep them current.

I know it says to email it in their email, you would think if they wanted it they would put a line on the application for you to enter it rather than having to go back and forth with them.

In addition to that, I gave them my FFL03 last year when I initially applied for the COE so they should already have it on file
