    Variety is the spice of life. Lots of different toys in the toy box.
    Getting back on a bike after decades is like getting back into shooting after decades. Fun Again.

      Not sure why you watch Cable anymore, for the topic on Guns
      YouTube has plenty including the old history channel gun related shows.

        in the current generation, the thrill was never there and i'm sure in the future when it becomes contraband, and all ranges close shop, it'll be even more serious and sullen.

            Cowboy up, and move to a free state. I got less than 12 months to retirement and looking forward to leaving.

                Choices.

                If you live in any big city you will limit your shooting activity. Plus be Subject to the constant progressive barrage

                I made a choice in 1983 to move out of Los Angeles/SoCal . It didn't take a crystal ball to see the decline even then.

                Here in Kern County, or Any Rural County you can still enjoy the Shooting Sports.

                I shoot regulation Skeet every Week, in a Friends Backyard! Try doing that in any urban area.

                Plus two great local ranges that offer all shooting sports you could want

                You can look at the glass as half empty or do something positive about your situation...

                Choices....
                TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
                The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
                Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
                Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
                The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
                The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
                The best lack all conviction, while the worst
                Are full of passionate intensity.

                  These California democrat's are good, no question about it. A one time trip to Walmart, where I always browsed automotive, tools , guns and frequently picked up the 4 pack of #8s has now changed into whats on the list and out.

                  Republican states need use the democrat play book in reverse. Little things like an armed CCW holder doesn't pay sales tax, or giving thieves a choice between long prison terms or a bus ticket to someplace that understand's ,criminal behavior is a result of an unfair system.

                  In short do everything legally possible to get democrats out. Its working in California, Illinois and New York,who are activly encouraging Republican's to go elsewhere.
                  That said it might be part of their plan to collect huge tax fee's when one sells his property.
                  Consider renting with a competent property manager. No reason to reward them for what we know is the motivation.

                      Also black powder or antique firearms. With ammo prices these days, and reloading primers non existent, I've been shooting my muzzle loaders alot more often.

                          i like having nice things, and i suppose buying them is part of it, but i have never been a gun trader, and never sold one.

                          personally, most of the enjoyment i get is from achieving goals with the guns i have (which is not that many).

                            I never sold one either and enjoy shooting what I do own. Maybe a 9mm Kahr is in my future when I re-locate.
                            A nearby public gun range is a prerequisite .

                                one fear i have and i might not be around to see it is nobody stands up for loosing their freedoms no matter how bad things get.not sure the good folks will be willing to draw a line in the sand and say ENOUGH.
                                The left is already doing a good job of crushing oposition.
