37 dros the FSC fee 40 shipping fee then the 1hour drive gasoline fee . Oh and the 3 % CC fee even though I used a debit card . All that minus the dros and fsc took away from the hundred or so bucks I would appear to be saving by using GB. I guess what it comes down to is one way or the other the amount you will pay is the same . The major reason I used GB after all is said and done ends up being availability.
You ever feel like one of those little animals that have to navigate your way through a complex maze system to arrive at a button you must push to get a reward?
Availability is exactly why I'm considering GunBroker. I had two Henry rifles on order from my LGS for over three months and even after that there was no guaranty of when they would arrive. The money is not an issue since it's worth an extra hundred bucks or so when you know the rifle will be shipped as soon as you pay for it.
BTW, I cancelled the order for the rifles and used the deposit to buy a 4.2" stainless GP100 that was in stock.

I don't care for the grips so I ordered Altamont GP100 grips that are black rubber with rosewood inserts.

ALTAMONT® offers recoil-reducing rubber GP-100 grips and custom insert options. Select a combo OR mix and match a rubber grip and set of inserts

I'm a big fan of Ruger revolvers both double action (Redhawk, GP100 and SP101) and single action Blackhawks. To stay on topic, this GP100 was released for pickup on day ten.

After reading this thread I was a little concerned but I got the call on the morning of the tenth day.
Back in the 90s my first three revolver purchases were stainless double action Ruger magnums. First was a 7 1/2" Redhawk, then a 4" GP100 and then a 2 1/4" SP101. They were all totally reliable right out of the box. Early last year I picked up a GP100 Match Champion.
