    what if LE checks your handgun that you bought cash & carry at a gun show over 30 years ago and says it's not in the AFS data base

    could they confiscate it since you have no proof of ownership? since no paper work or FFL was used, no records.

        No.
        There is no statutory requirement for handguns older than 1991 to be in AFS.
