Some time back I started a thread of Californians in Idaho, discussing how CCW holders wanted a confrontation and in their opinion a CWW is never needed.

This mall shooting is evidence that one armed citizen might have been able to save lives or prevent injuries.

I cannot for the life of me understand where CCW or CC are legal, so few are exercising that right?

Thoughts and prayers for those who were murdered and prayers, the medical professionals can help the wounded with complete recovery .

I thought this as well, unless the shooter was a "legal" CCW .

I would only use a CCW to protect myself and not to try and stop a situation not directly involving myself. The legal hassle is not worth it and the possibility of being shot like the guy in Denver is a real possibility.

It would have to be the most perfect situation possible, clear shot, background, etc.... last thing you want is to hurt someone else. I think if and thats a huge IF all was possible and I could stop someone from killing innocent people I would have.

Most states allow you to protect a third person if that person would have to defend themselves from GBI or death.

But the choice is yours as to who you’d be willing to protect or save.

This situation was addressed in the NC CC class I took. The instructor stated that a concealed carry permit holder should never rush towards a shooting; the permit is for self defense of yourself and those in your immediate area. Responding police will likely see you as the shooter or another shooter in the unfolding incident. The instructor was a county deputy.

I would risk it to protect someone wearing a MAGA Hat, but He or She might have already handled it .

These Boise murders are not typical in that democrat media is not really pushing more gun restrictions. Guessing the killer doesn't fit their preferred narrative.

The people in those areas and states don't all walk around carrying because its one of the reasons they live there, they don't see the need.

Most people don't live eat and breathe guns and think they need to have a gun just to go about life and not live in fear just to take a drive to the mall and go shopping. While some people see carrying a gun as a great activity, something everyone should do, that is actually counter to what this country was founded to become.

There has been an influx of people from liberal run states to what were once safe havens where you could walk down a street and not feel like you needed a Glock with extra mags, pepper spray and a kubaton or risk being killed. That is changing and all you have to do is look what preceded that - people from liberal states fleeing what they hate only to bring it with them.

On this forum most of what you hear is that someone moved to a free state and oh boy, all the nifty guns they can buy and so on. That is a small subset of who is going to all those free states. A majority of them are likely liberals who like everyone else don't really enjoy being ripped off, murdered and raped even if their actions are the root cause of it.

So all the free states are slowing turning into something else. Anyone can argue that isn't true and to that I say, keep watching.

And you can be charged with a wrongful death lawsuit.
