Why do people still enter into deals with him?

Don't blame the site - blame those that keep falling for it.

Blame me for being a "junior member". This would be my third transaction on Calguns. Last two times it worked great. Good sellers/traders and great chitchat!

When the seller bumped the thread the day after he agreed to sell the gun to me, I did check his feedback and was a bit worried. That may be why I (subconsciously) texted him the next morning before I headed over.

Still want to give the OP some credit for replying to my Saturday morning text so I don't waste 2 hours going to Stockton.

17) iTrader ratings.
Negative feedback should be reserved for transactions where one party has lost either money or goods, or the delivered product is substantially different than advertised. Positive feedback is appropriate for a transaction with good communications between they parties involved and that completes in a timely manner. Neutral feedback is for everything else, including transactions which are not completed. Use the comment section to describe why you gave the rating you did. Retaliatory feedback is not tolerated and should be reported to a moderator. See Rule #16 regarding Marketplace Disputes.

16) Marketplace disputes.
Occasional disputes between a buyer and a seller are inevitable. When this happens notify the Moderators and include a link to the original thread. When one of the Moderators responds be prepared to forward copies of all PM's and emails regarding the transaction. By selling and buying in the Marketplace you agree to abide by the final decision of the moderator team regarding any dispute. Arbitrating disputes is not the job of the moderating team, but if we're asked to deal with a problem we expect you to respect and abide by our decisions. Failing to do so may result in losing access to the Marketplace and possibly the entire forum.


Your feedback should have been "neutral".

I've seen missing meetings/no show met with negative feedback, so wanted to be consistent. Happy to change it to neutral if that better fits the bill. However rules must be applied consistently. Should I make the change?

Yep I have dealt with people with 75% feedback successfully just took a little bit more patience and communication than the previous buyers were capable of

I’ve got 95% feedback, not because I did anything wrong. But because I refused to waste my time on a guy who had already flaked on me.

Unfortunately, retaliatory feedback is very prevalent on this site so feedback doesn’t mean much.

The mods would have to dedicate a lot of time to weed out the undesirables, and that’s a lot to ask of them.

If gamer's account of events are true, seller/op is just another typical playing/jocking all interests to his own advantage. No principal zero integrity. With his "attitude" of explain things on this thread, not surprise prior negatives. Many people like him on this site. When it comes to money, all decency out the door. Don't worry bad or good Karma/Bachi will come one day, God is watching.

many use alias accounts when they purchase though... so they don't bother.
