Combating Negative Feedback by Flakey Buyers

Is there anyway I can combat negative itrader feedback left by a buyer that ghosted me for days?

I sold my pistol to another member who was in constant contact with me after I couldn’t confirm with the other potential buyer and gave him a window to return my messages. He then proceeded with leaving a negative feedback.

To boot, the “buyer” text me from an unknown number after we had already been in contact and his number was saved as a contact on my device.

The negative is going to hit him a lot harder than his negative hit you.

Ummm I thought one of the rules was that you can only leave feedback for a completed transaction(?). If flaky party never bought the gun, then there was no completed transaction.
Contact a mod, and have it deleted.

It’s the same thing most times. People fall out of contact and won’t respond. I move on. I can’t wait days for a response.

That and I never leave negative feedback for sellers who drop the ball and never get back to me. I have bigger fish to fry.

Are you one of those guys that tries to set the rules like "I will honor the deal for the next xxx time period but if you don't get back to me by then, I will sell to someone else"?

That's a crappy way to deal with people.
The honorable way to deal with people is to answer them when they respond and then wait for their next response.
Some people have lives away from the keyboard and might step away from the keyboard for 2-3 days at a time.

2-3 days no response is long time.

If the buyer really wants it, he or she would be on top of messages asap. I usually give potential buyers 1 day tops before bumping my thread.

Sellers have lives too, they need to sell shyt fast to fund next project or fulfill needs.

This is hilarious. You're the flakiest of them all. LOL. Going dark for more than a week after you agreed to a deal and then claiming I was being impatient. LOL. I left you negative feedback for flaking and you wrote something to the effect of "[I] don't understand that people have lives." Says the guy who doesn't respond for more than a week with no explanation. You're part of the problem.

You have 5 negative feedback, 4 of which are from experienced CGN members who have done many transactions.

I've been here 16 years and done numerous deals with great results. You're the only one I had a problem with (other members have had the same problem with you or worse like not showing up at all)

I’ll be honest and I’m not the best at checking my Calguns messages. That’s why I include my phone number. I’m not perfect and some of those feedbacks are justified and I could have been better. There may have been something personal going on, which may or may not have been why I hadn’t gotten back to you.

But this post wasn’t about your message before, It’s about the one that was left TODAY. By a potential buyer who changed his phone number and claimed I wasn’t messaging him. Hell, the guy I sold it to and I both agreed we would give the man the day before we moved forward since he was No. 2 on the callback list.

The day came and went, no reply so we moved forward with the sale.
