    Flying the coop!

So I've made the very, very easy decision of moving out of this God forsaken pit of a state. I'm moving to Florida(seminole county) or Indiana(carmel). I've sold a few corporations that I own and will retain interest in a few others. Between selling my home in so cal and the corporations, plus the passive income from the companies I will still own a controlling interest in, I'll be able to live like a king. Between Hitler giving an extra 500 dollars to illegals, to forgiving tickets to low income people, I give up. The last straw was catching an employee take 1200 dollars and the police refusing to arrest him. At a certain point, you must come to grips with the FACT that this state doesn't care about my kind. You know, the kind that generates millions in tax revenue, doesn't break laws, pays his parking tickets etc.

So my question is this. I've been off CG for awhile and haven't paid attention to what new locks they have put around our testicles. I'm going to liquidate my collection and only keep 30 or 40 guns. I will probably sell 80 firearms. As I don't have to sell anything, and I don't have to be any place at any particular time. I'd prefer to ppt them so I can maximize my return. Do any of you see an issue with dumping 80 guns? I'm not going to be price gouging at all, so I think they will sell fairly quickly.

At this point you can pick any LGS or Auction House to sell (Consign) your guns and they can get top money.
Therefore you can just dump all of it all at once. No restrictions on consigned sales I know about.
Check out Lock Stock and Barrel in Simi Valley, which sells some great stuff.

PM me a list of what you have and rough pricing, I know a Collector who will buy some or all of it.

          Congratulations on your exodus
Now my mind is filled with rubber tires, and forest fires
          And whether I'm a liar,
And lots of other situations where I don't know what to do,
At which time God screams to me "There's nothing left for me to tell you."

Do you know where I can look this law up?
Also, 5 PPT in what duration? I mean 5 per day? 5 per month?
            Thanks.

                Indiana(carmel).
Out of an essentially red state, why are you considering the bastion of liberal politics in Indiana?

I think the only legal way to sell that many in a short time frame is by consignment threw a FFL.

Before I moved out of state I sold 7 or 8 handguns in a three to four month period. Three in 2020 and 5 in 2021 to keep it legal, doing 80 individual PPT’s is gonna draw a red flag with DOJ. You don’t need or want that. When I moved I just loaded all my guns and ammo in my truck and drove them to my new state, it was only 800 miles. You got a much farther drive, I can understand why you want to unload so many.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

Contact Dave at Shootsocal in Fullerton, his fees are very fair

                        5 transactions per year.
                        50 total firearms per year.

Here is ATF's brochure, but I can't find the actual specific law referenced.
The general rule is that if you are selling more than "occasionally" or to make money, you need to be licensed.
I believe that "occasionally" has been defined as more than 5 times a year.

I don't think the OP actually needs to worry about it since he can legitimately claim he is liquidating a personal collection.

Sell yourself. Your off roster pistols will be worth a mint and if you sell at reasonable prices will go fast.

I’d be interested in any 2011 pattern, double stacked 1911 pattern, hk and sig off rosters you are selling, as well as AK type rifles from Molot or Izhmash factory, Valmet, Imi, Polytech.

                          Congrats on your move.

Why not just bring them with you and hit a gun show in a free state?
