If you don't have a RealID (Federal proof of citizenship, address, etc), then you need a picture ID (drivers license or state ID card) and another form of federally recognized ID (does not need to be picture ID.) CCW does not, as far as I know, fall under that description, as it is a state document. Birth cert, passport, Immigrant ID cards are federally issued and will work.
I always suggest this to people, who largely ignore it (to be fair, though, I don't actually perform ammo transactions, so I can sort of see them not listening to me.)The last PPT I did (I was seller), the shop said I needed to keep a copy of the dros so when I buy ammo, I can replicate exactly what they put down for my info.Comment

If you think they do not need to match, get caught using a CCW for one county after having moved to another and not reporting the change after the determined period and see what happens. Usually it's 60 days.
If stopped and you're carrying and your CCW does not match your DRLIC (same county) guess what the next question becomes? Yes, where do you actually live. Lie and you are toast and rightfully so. Your CCW allows you to carry throughout the state but it does not permit you to move out of the county and continue to use that CCW. If you move out of the county that issued the CCW 60 days later you aren't authorized to carry concealed anymore than anyone else and that also means in the county that originally issued the CCW.
How many people move and don't report their change of address? Plenty. While the laws and regs are cumbersome and can be considered intrusive and even unconstitutional that changes nothing if you failed to follow them and get caught.
Yes, your address upon which your LE credentials are authorized needs to be correct and updated if you move. If you don't update your address then there are government code sections which can be used to initiate adverse action against you. All it takes is the wrong person to make a stink about it and those people are all over the place, everyone knows some.Let Go of the Status Quo!
Don't worry, it will never pass...How in the hell did that pass?
Think past your gun, it's the last resort, the first is your brain.

You are required to notify your IA of an address change in writing within 10 days.
My CCW records as well as DMV records have both my PO Box and actual address on them. DL however ONLY has my PO Box printed on it.Mrs 38Special

I believe you need either a RealID, as that satisfies our glorious State that you are who you claim to be because the Feds have said you are. You can also use an ID or DL issued before the Real ID fiasco (that is not a RealID and does not have FLA) because the state forgot about that, and never restricted it.
If you have FLA, you need a federally recognized 2nd form of ID: passport or birth cert, for instance. As far as I know, it does not need an address.
Another issue: Does your current address (assuming on your ID) have to match your AFS record? Or do you just have to know what address was used when creating that record? The data that gets inputted to the state system is only looking for a records match. The ID requirement is a visual check, and if a license is swiped, the address can be changed before submission.
Of course, given the way things are written (state legalese), it wouldn't surprise me if different places interpreted and enacted the requirements differently.Comment
