    True but with Venmo you can get away with it by listing the transaction as anything. Buddy of mine bought a part for my Marlin and then repaired it, so I put in to comments, "For the hot Saturday night "

    Don't use gun related terms, just make it gay! If they flag it, then you call them bigoted gay bashers!

        I don't think that the liquidated damages provision in the contract is enforceable. I think they need to be sued in the superior court to see if we can make them stop what they are doing. If anyone has a similar horror story and is interested in trying to get their pound of flesh from Paypal, please feel free to send me a PM.
        Paypal TOS = illegal to use the service to pay for any firearm, firearm accessories, or ammunition.

        Violating the TOS can result in your account being closed and funds being seized.

        In order to use Paypal, you have to agree to their TOS.

        Detection of this can come from random audits or by someone reporting to Paypal that this is being done.

        Arbitration to get your funds back from Paypal can take years and may end up costing more than the funds that were siezed.
        ^For the most part the Courts have sided with Paypal in lawsuits involving violating Paypal TOS.

        Good luck and don't get caught.

            PayPal cut me off several months ago for gun part sales. I just sold a item on E-bay, an old powder measure. Guy paid for item with PayPal, so now PayPal is holding funds.
            I get this message;
            Your account access is permanently limited
            After a review, we've decided to permanently limit your account due to potential risk. You’ll not be able to conduct any further business using PayPal.

              I think that EBay would be at fault as well, since they allowed you to list it and sell it.

                I've had my Paypal account since 99, and hope to keep it for convenience. I've heard anecdotes that Paypal will also limit/close your account for receiving large amounts of Friends/Family no-fee transactions. I'm gradually moving more towards cashapp / Zelle for this reason. But many buyers balk at not receiving any buyer protection from these services.

                  The possible issue is PayPal is usually linked to a bank account.
                  I use a middle bank for PP.

                  Normal bank, transfer money from that one to the second one that is linked to PP. Done it this way for 20 years, no problems with PP.

                  I even had them call me one time (years ago) because I was buying a gun from buds, They asked if i made the purchase, yes, they let it go through.
