Just says brace models without a determination letter don't have a determination letter. Doesn't necessarily reclassify anything.

      Another pistol brace drama thread

The letter fails to acknowledge conflicting reports that ATF officials had given SB Tactical the go-ahead to proceed with the development of new braces based on ATF's initial decision letter.

mY BROTHER JUST ORDERED A PISTOL LOWER FROM PSA WITH THAT BRACE. Delivered to ffl in Texas. I wonder how fast the word will get out. I just checked can still order with braces. Hope he does not get jammed up when it arrives at ffl. Need to remove brace I guess.

Seems like a lot of people might be buying SB15s soon.

Doesnt this fall into a similar category of the Ohio length of pull lawsuit? There is nothing official that I read in the article that was to the public in regards to the braces not being legal.

No offense, but I doubt the government posted a youtube video stating they are banning pistol braces. I have done some quick searches and do not see anything official.

Can someone post something official if true, or is this just hearsay?

And that is what I was saying in regards to the Ohio case. There does not seem to be an official determination from the ATF, just like there is not an official determination regarding length of pull. Someone (ammoland and a youtuber) obtained information from correspondence from the ATF to SB tactical regarding the braces not officially being approved (or tested?).

I am not a lawyer, but in the Ohio case, a part of the reason that the charges were dropped was due to the ATF not making an official ruling. Therefore the defendant did not have a reasonableness to follow the unofficial ruling.

That is why I was asking if there was something official from the ATF outlawing the braces.

Has anyone seen an actual letter? Every reference I have found points back to the same YT video and the ammoland article (which is 404 page not found)

Yeah, would be awful if someone went onto the internet on an online forum and told everyone that their brother just ordered one of these. That would suck.
