Is there a lot of rust and problems with some of the firearms - or is that just an excuse for this pathetic valuation/robbery attempt - ?

I'm back. I know this has been going on for some time now, but this is the latest update.
My friend finally has been awarded the collection as his portion of the inheritance. He is asking for assistance in getting the collection released the from the LGS that has been holding it during the court process. I don't know how to advise him.
This is the same LGS that did the original appraisal in Nov. 2019.
My friend is saying the LGS has indicated they can not release the firearms to him. They have not made clear to him why.
My friend has never owned a firearm in his 60 yrs. I told him to start by getting his FSC card.
Is there a SoCal FFL that can possibly share/assist with getting this collection transferred/released to him?
I have had several offers for help/purchase these firearms at their current location, but unfortunately my friend feels he would rather take possession of them right now.
I know this should probably be asked in the FFL forum, but I didn't want to start a new thread....yet.

He needs to find out in writing why the gun shop won't release the guns to him..
After that question is answered a solution can be found.
Until then we would just be speculating.Poke'm with a stick!

Taxes was my first thought. They might be doing you a favor. But take the guns elsewhere or get decent pics and we can get you prices.
We’d all love to know the helpful gun stores name.Comment

Unfortunately elderly estate holders (or their children with power of attorney) want to get rid of everything as quick as possible. Tools and shop machines, jewelry, antiques suffer the same fate.Comment

While you agree with the majority of the comments made on this post, anyone familiar with buying or selling guns knows that condition, condition and condition means a lot when determining value. Unless your eyes are 100 times better than mine, I cannot determine condition of these firearms from these photos. There could be rust, pitting, missing parts or other damage that cannot be determined from these photos. My local gun shop has several 50 gallon drums full of firearms that I just described for under $100.Comment

When my friend first contacted me for assistance last year, he said his cousin had passed away and his cousin's WIDOW needed help with disposing of his assets. There was a court appointed executor assigned for reasons unknown to me. Not me business.
Since then, I learned he was given the opportunity to receive the collection as part of the estate.
My original post was asking for opinions of the collection's value. Now it is for assistance in the collection's transfer. The value is moot at this point.
Yes, the collection is currently being held at the Lincoln Gun Exchange in Lincoln, CA. It's possible the LGS did the estate a favor by appraising it the way they did. I wouldn't know. I haven't seen the firearms myself, so I can't comment on the condition. I have only seen the photos I shared in this thread.
I'm not here to bash the LGS or expose my friends personal life. I'm just trying to help him out. That's what friends do.
