What happens when the background check system goes down? What if it pulls up 'false positive'? You're denied your rights, right? It also doesn't apply to stolen, borrowed nor manufactured( 80%'ers or other creative options) firearms either.

If you really agree with the democrat party's platform, you shouldn't want to own a gun, and you also shouldn't be allowed to.

Besides; we all know that having a gun in the home merely increases YOUR risk of death; you'll hurt yourself or shoot another family member by accident with it. Or you'll get caught up in a heated argument, pull out your gun & shoot them.

- Felony offense, loss of pension, and mandatory prison sentence for all gov't employees legislating, upholding, or enforcing restrictions on constitutional rights.

- Repeal the NFA.

- National open and conceal carry

- Mandatory marksmanship training for all able-bodied men and women.

- Illegal for any non-military gov't agency to be equipped with weapons beyond that which citizens can have.

- Now to back-peddle a bit, I do believe that limitations on 2A were never intended and there's historical evidence of that. However, I don't want my neighbors buying SAMS, nukes, etc. I still wrestle with this, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't lean towards capping the 2A somewhere around weapons that could be carried and used by infantrymen. Doesn't NEED to be used by military, just needs to be something that COULD be used, even if it would be silly to bring an over/under into combat, it's theoretically possible, so it counts. I would include grenades, belt fed MGs, and RPGs as items protected by 2A as well.

I've come to believe that dangerous liberty is worth the inherent risks, but I'm still not sure how much risk we should tolerate with modern weapons. Is it logical to allow private ownership of tanks, heavy artillery, etc? I'm not sure.
