    Blocked at work.

First off, rebar is some of the mildest steel out there. How do you get high quality hardend steel downgraded to softer than mild steel?

Am sure some of those guns turned in must be stolen, I wonder do they even attempt to return them to their owners before they melt them down?

So Sad. LAPD melts thousands of guns into re-bar

What a waste. Most looked like mom n pop guns. They did have some nice pistols in there.

Twenty bucks says I can mess somebody up just as bad with rebar as I can with a gun. *sigh*

They destroyed some evidence there just to get some political brownies.

Glad to see my tax dollars going to dispose of potentially valuable evidence. Thanks L.A. for "doing something".

Sad. Worth a lot more before than the scrap metal it is now.

But, if it helps to deter even one gun related crime/accident, I guess it's doing its job.

Just hurts to watch as a gun enthusiast/hobbyist.
