    Does anyone miss...

The days where it didn't feel like the sky was falling? The days when you didnt have to wait god knows how long to get guns. The days when ammo was on the shelves... I just can't wait till it gets back to normal... this stuff is driving me nuts.

Yeah. Truthfully the whole situation has taken a toll on how much I enjoy the sport. Black rifles are the last things on my mind, but when it gets tough to even find ammo to shoot my .22, it gets pretty irritating.

Dammit, I hoarded the wrong ammo.

Yeah, I actually can't get as into the hobby as I used to. I mean I cant even shoot my .22's because I dont know if I will be able to replenish my ammo stock I have for them....

I don't so much remember the non-sky-falling feeling, or ammo on the shelves but more so all the now amazing deals I passed up on last year for various handguns and rifles. So much possiable profit lost...

I dunnho. Buying ammo at walmart used to be boring and only controlled by how much I was willing to spend. I scored some ammo at walmart yesterday and felt like I won the lottery.

Heh... I still own cases of 9mm and .45ACP I bought for $99.70 and $199.70 respectively.

            Oh possible profit...

$25 Australian battle packs. I got pissed off at myself for reluctantly paying $35 for South African battlepacks for a shoot I had the next day.

            $80/1000 7.62. x39

7.62x51/1000 for Radway Green $139 was considered gouging.

Turners when they had sales, the Springfield XD was $419.

Yeah, even only just a few years ago, things have changed a lot. Then again, from 08' to 09' was a significant change as well.

            Vent over.

I miss it terribly. This weekend's camping trip is going to see lots and lots of .22LR but very little .223, .40 an 12g. I wish it was the other way around.

California had a 3 day waiting period for handguns starting in 1956 so I don't think that many people remember when they weren't in effect.

Yeah I am starting to sink out of the sport. I havent gone shooting in a while, and I am not planning on buying any new guns. When I do find ammo, it's so expensive I can't afford it.

                        Hopefully things will change soon..

Yeah, I've about had it with people hording ammo like there is no tomorrow. It's made casual target shooting an unaffordable PITA. I was gearing up for a camping trip recently, and there were some calibers that I just wasn't able to find, or wasn't able to find in the quantity I wanted or price that I could afford. I feel silly for buying my 30/30 now. The price of the ammo has begun to outweigh the fun factor.

I went to Reeds the other day with a friend. I brought enough ammo for me: couple boxes of +P Gold Dots for the Smith and Colt, couple boxes of 9 for the Glock, brick of .22 for the Buck Mark (didn't use it all of course). My friend planned on buying what he needed at Reeds. Not. They were totally out of .45 and 9mm. I gave him my 9 so he could shoot his Sig. I have never seen a range out of ammo. Amazing. I haven't had much patience for the dicks who are cleaning out ammo whenever they find it, but I have zero patience now. If we don't share, if we don't just buy what we need instead of cleaning out whatever Walmart or other stores get in that day we will drive people out of the gun hobby. Is that what you greedy bastards really want?
