This sounds more like they have no idea what the laws are and are giving you a line.

I think we need to tag these shops with the experiences we have. Most likely just a new guy that needs more training. But if this is the policy others should know so they can support better shops.

That's bs. All they have to do is add the model and s/n. Im getting tired of hearing these stories about ppt run arounds.

          What shop?

It is sad that the list of these places is getting larger.

I've done two handguns on a single PPT transaction before in the past. IIRC the FFL just plugged in the 2nd serial # on the same document.
            Name the FFL please

They get 10 bucks per gun extra fees on report. Find another ffl. Why hide your location? Are you In LA.?

                OP

Did you make an appointment with them?

If so, did you mention the PPT would involve 2 firearms?

They don’t do appts, which was fine since staff outnumbered customers.

I just don’t want to badmouth a shop I’ve done a lot of business with.
They’ve always been good to me and as upset as I am, I hate to sever a relationship in anger.
If you aren't going to tell us the shop so we can possibly remediate their illegal action, then cool story bro. What's the point of the thread? FFLs are required to conduct PPTs (unless they believe it to be illegal for some reason or if it is a handgun and they don't sell Handguns, like Big 5). If all shops refused it would have the effect of inducing illegal, unpapered transactions. A trend of shops refusing, like this one, has a chilling effect on people doing legal transfers. PPTs come with the job when you get an FFL in CA. The store needs to be educated.

Not sure if there is a DOJ multiple gun report but there is an ATF multiple firearms purchase:

Which FFL? I’ve never understood why people don’t want to name the shop.
