Sounds like I should get a spray adhesive to really stick the lining to the bottom of my shelf, in addition to stapling it.

        Did you do that?
I stapled mine and worked well. It's the underside of the shelf so it's not visible.

You will gain little with rods. The best way to maximize space is put them in socks and play Tetris to get them in. Yes it is a hassle to get them out later but not much if the socks are all tagged with a label for the contents.

If you can tell yourself that you have stopped buying guns then maybe rods will work for you, otherwise best to just accept the inevitable.

That's not an awful idea, I guess.....but....it just seems like it would REALLY be a hassle to get stuff out....ugh....the idea of all those socks falling all over each other.....yeah.....I dunno man.....

I appreciate the advice, but like I said; I already pulled the trigger on the Rifle Rods, I'll install & give it a go. I can always sell / return the rods & go a different route later.....I've just read SO many positive reviews on them & they make a lot of sense conceptually.

I'm sorry; I plugged the underlined phrase into Google Translate & it came up empty; can you please let me know exactly what that means?

Like I've said; I've read overwhelmingly positive reviews about the rods....

Keep your eyes on this thread & I'll update when I get mine installed!

Where would you put that rack that you linked to? Inside your safe? I definitely do not have room for something like that!! I'd have to dedicate an entire shelf to that....

Right, but over time, won't the velcro / lining (felt?) that the rods attach to, pull down, sag, stretch, etc?

The rods basically have hook / scratchy velcro on them & they come with a loop / fuzzy liner that you install / attach to the bottom of your shelf right above the rifles, right?

I could absolutely see where it would sag, stretch & just overall start to suck after a very short while, unless you covered it in staples, which inhibits the velcro's ability to work if you put THAT many in....know what I mean?

I'm gonna get a spray adhesive; lots of people said to do that & it makes sense to me.....glad you got yours working w/o though....

Any feedback / comments? I'm a little hesitant to stick stuff in my gun barrels like that, but I suppose enough people do it that it won't hurt the gun...and they're of course coated & everything....
