What is the intended use? Just beware before you go down the Glock rabbit hole, they will multiply like...

I don't understand the 19X. Shorter slide than a 17, but longer grip than a 19. I have big meathooks and the regular 19 gives me a full grip and 15 rounds.

I would have thought a 26 slide on a 19 frame would be a better option for most people.

17 is a full sized weapon, so what do you think you will be doing with this?

Hey guys yes I’m LE. I want it basically like a all around gun. I wouldn’t mind carrying it a little bit. Mainly just a range gun. Also take it when I go camping or on road trips. I have a Glock 35 already, so I’m not sure if the 17 is smart to do since they are close to the same size. I was also thinking doing the Glock 19 and adding a mag extension. I think that would give me the same effect as the 19x or 45. But I’m not sure. Thank you guys for the help

Can’t go wrong with the 19x or 45 (pretty much the same). The grip kind of sucks for carrying (same grip size as the 17 and 35) but if you have the body/clothes for it, anything is possible.

I’d skip the 17 if you have the 35 unless you want it since it’s similar to the 35 (but in 9mm).

Well I think you’d be correct, except the G43x has that covered - personally I’d like a G19 slide on a G26 frame in Gen5.

When you carry a gun OWB and get in and out of a vehicle (MIL/LEO) the shorter barrel facilitates this, while still having the control and capacity of a full size grip.

I believe that was one of the requirements of the Army's MHS program. Sig's M18 is the same design.

                        If I had my choice I'd get a Gen 5 19 MOS.

As others have noted, what's the intended use?

I have a Glock 45 and I owned a gen 5 Glock 17 MOS. Both are fine pistols. I have either an RMR or Leupold DPP on all of my Glocks (gen 3 19, gen 3 34, gen 4 41 MOS) so I had high hopes for the 17 MOS, but for my use (defense/plinking), I like the 45/gen 3 19 better.

I will note I had the grip reduced/finger grooves removed/strippling/undercut, etc on my gen 3 19 and grip reduced/strippling/undercut, etc on the 41 and kept both 17 MOS and 45 stock.

If you're not sure, try to find a range that has those for rent so you can try it out.

Our ranges doesn’t have any LE guns to rent lol. So My only option is your guys advice. I don’t even have a place to look at them or hold them. It’s basically decide and order. I’ve talked to several people and they tell me the MOS isn’t worth the extra price. They recommend just using an adapter plate for whatever optic I’m going to use. Or they said even a slide cut would be better then the MOS

Pass on the 19x. Can’t run 19 mags. Can’t run gen 5 17 mags. Stupid lanyard thing. Glock 45>Glock 19X
Pass on the 17. Can’t run 19 mags. 19 and 17 mags are easy to confuse at a glance. Could be costly.
Pass on the 45. It’s just a 17 frame with 19 slide. Better than a 19X, but still can’t run 19 mags. Glock 19 mags are some of the most popular on the planet.

Get any gen/model 19 for better mag compatibility. Glock 19 can run Glock 19, 17, and 34 mags, it can run 33 round stick mags, and drum mags. The only thing you’ll be missing out on is Glock 26 mags and single stack.

                              I agree with a 19 frame with a 26 slide. I would buy it.
