I understand the frustration and how annoying it can be dealing with a flake. It appears to me many of the comments here were posted by angry sellers. Keep in mind, life is a two way street. If a seller demanded a 20/30% deposit I would walk, no, run away as fast as I could.

I would never give anyone money because they promised to sell me something.

Where is my protection? What about flaky sellers?

I get your concerns about it...

But, 3 days of lawyering to make a Marketplace post read like a contract and still nothing posted for sale?

Here are my thoughts on your proposal:

I'd pass on any gun you have for sale. There is no way the buyer can know in advance that the FFL Dros can be completed in the 30 minute time frame. The buyer does not control this process. For valid reasons I've had to back out of deals (before the meet up date and time), and I've have buyers do the same to me. None of these transactions resulted in a negative iTrader rating. Likewise, I'm not going to give you a deposit either. If my 100% iTrader rating of more than 70 transactions isn't good enough for you to trust me, then I'm wasting my time with you. As one person stated....."this is a two way street."

And this is coming from a poster who has been with Cal Guns for less than one month and with only a single iTrader rating. I'd love to read about all your buying and selling trials and tribulations you've experienced on this site in the last 29 days.

Looking forward to your re-write, as a seller I can always use good tips from other CG'ers.

Personally, your "rules" don't bother me if you are selling something I want. Although, IMO, most of it can be done thru PM.

I've bought and sold hundreds of guitars, amps, pedals, effects and other music gear online like sites exactly like this one and on Craigslist for over 20 years. I have my share of retard stories. It's not limited on gun sales. And my time on here is irrelevant, because flakes still don't read stuff like this. I'm not suggesting he shouldn't post it, I'm saying it's not going to stop the idiocy.

Now my mind is filled with rubber tires, and forest fires
              And whether I'm a liar,
And lots of other situations where I don't know what to do,
At which time God screams to me "There's nothing left for me to tell you."

OP, you mean well and you obviously don’t want your time wasted with a flaky buyer. IMO, too much info in your prenup lol.

Keep it simple. List the FFL’s of your choice and buyer pays fees. If you are listing a desirable gun, it will sell itself in this market. If you absolutely don’t want to deal with a noob or someone with no iTrade, just post it in your for sale ad, minimum “X” iTrade required.

Sorry for the late response... Was in a match yesterday and work today was hectic.

Yes, I think I would just do that - keep it simple.

                  Thank you...

Just a simple question/inquiry (as @Old Flash said - we can always learn from each other) - and CGners get all worked up!!! Hahaha!!!

Oh, well, 'tis the life of the interweb...
