So you simply change your route into CA to one that doesn't involve AG inspection.

I just wonder if any of the sky is falling folks have actually read the damn law? It's an infraction the same as a traffic ticket, the officer would have to witness the purchase himself, and see someone cross the border with the purchase.

Too much work with too little payback for anyone to devote any time to this.

Thanks...a dose of reality sometimes works, but I'll be we'll see the same paranoia in a month or 2.

Whip out your cell phone and take a picture of said ammo you're leaving with and when you return with same ammo you got proof it originated in California - take a picture of your vehicle next to a street sign if you have to authenticate location.

Is it me or am I the only one that’s been able to buy ammo no problem during this last few months? Ive been reading and hearing how it’s difficult to buy ammo, but I’ve slowly been buying 100 at a time no problem for the last year every time I decide I need to stretch my legs and stare at a gun somewhere... The price increases have been annoying but whatever, guns are expensive anyway.

And by doing just that, I've discovered some neat areas I've never seen before. There is more out there than just ho-hum interstate. Kind of like your own version of "California's Gold", but without some cameramen.

With that said, who has ACTUALLY been searched for ammunition at any of these agricultural inspections?...I've been through them a whole bunch, and no matter what I have in the vehicle, the answer is always a polite "no, I have nothing".
