The KX-3 and KX-5 Firepig's will accomplish the length your looking to achieve. Used on the Noveske Infidel series of rifles with 13.7" barrels.

This is what I would do if I had a 13.7" barrel and was forced to use it. But in reality I would just sell it off and buy a 16" barrel.

I just bought one of these recently and did a blind pin and weld on a 13.5 inch Grendel build.

It's somewhat of a thin walled at the threads so keep that in mind if you chose to pin and weld. With the crush washer it came out to 16 1/8" bbl length. I added a few shims to get to 16 3/16" just so there's no wiggle room if an ATF spook wants to measure.

A local certified welder fused the tool steel pins with his TIG then put a bead of stainless over the top. Came out great.

Are there shims between the warcomp and the barrel?

Have you actually checked the overall length?
This is done by closing the bolt on an empty chamber and then placing a cleaning rod all the way down the barrel until it is touching the bolt.
Then make a pencil or sharpie mark on the rod right at the end of the muzzle device.

Withdraw the rod and measure from the end of the rod that was touching the bolt to that mark that you made.

That should work.

13.7"-0.625"+0.110"+2.9"=16.085"

Yes there are shims. I don’t remember the exact amount I used but I am just over that 16” needed.

It’s easier to measure 16” on your rod and use tape so you can slide it in and see right away. Especially while working with shims.

Sounds like using a Warcomp is hit or miss, depending on how many shims you need to properly time yours. I guess you could always add extra shims to push it out another full rotation or 3....

Wrapping tape on the rod at 16" will work fine too of course.

Be careful of tape measures!
The "hook" on the end of the tape can sometimes be off as much as 1/8".
Measure from 10" to 26" to get 16" or even just from 1" to 17" on the tape measure to avoid the error possibly present in the hook.

I saw the YouTube videos and both GT and Lucas of T-Rex ran the Sons of Liberty NOX. Called them up yesterday and they said the NOX was specifically designed for 13.7 to bring to 16. They also assured me that it comes with crush washers and shims to get it right. Placed and order with them. The guy also mentioned that Surefire Warcomp would work, but would have to shim it out all the way.

Should be interesting to see the NOX, from pictures it does look pretty long

Just clarifying. For your build, flash hider is ok and you don't need it to be a brake? Because some of these items are flash hiders or hybrid (flash hider and brake).
