    Muzzle Devices for 13.7" Barrel

Any recommendations on what muzzle brakes I can use for 13.7 barrel to make it to the legal 16"?

Just found out today that my Surefire Muzzle Brake won't meet the 16".

And anyone knows if the Surefire War Comp would make the limit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Look for VG6 gamma EX. Has extended length to get you to 16"

The only Surefire brakes that I know with certainty to be long enough to get you to 16" are the Socom (2.6" length) and Procomp (2.7" length) brakes. IIRC, the War Comp is considered a flash hider and not a brake if that is relevant to your build. Also the War Comp is 2.4" in length, just barely long enough to make legal length with a 13.7" barrel.

I'm no expert OP. But I've not seen a 13.7" barrel on anything in the state of CA.

Assuming it is in fact 14.7" barrel most common brakes should get you there.

Assuming you are correct OP, who even makes an upper with a 13.7" barrel?
          13.7" is not uncommon.

OP, you might need to add some spacer(s), but yeah I've seen it done.

Nope, I have a 13.7 and I want to keep it as a rifle, hence the search for a muzzle device that's long enough for me to pin and weld and reach 16"

I have the Surefire ProComp muzzle brake and tried installing it today. It came out to be about 0.25" short of 16"

Not 14.7. you read correctly, I have a 13.7 and I want to keep it a rifle which is why I'm looking for a muzzle device that will get to 16" for my build. And to answer your question, its made by Noveske

Throw a BE Meyers FH on there?

yea, 13.7 is the new 14.5. BE Meyers, whatever SOLGW and TRIAC are using should work also. You still need to measure and may need to use shims since there are tolerances.

                    Good luck.

JP Rifles' 3 Port Comp is almost 3" long. I'd be surprised if that thing isn't long enough to get you to 16".

I checked JR rifles, I think it says will not ship to CA.

                            I measured it myself.

                              Too short.
He needs at least a 3" long muzzle device.
