Monday morning CHP had a woman in a wheelchair pulled over on northbound I-15 just before 58.
Everything is back to normal in Barstow.

I saw a guy in a motorized chair on I-35 south of Moore, OK, chugging along on the shoulder so I called the OK Highway Patrol. The 911 operator said he does it all the time- takes the interstate from his apartment to the Indian casino for blackjack and beer and it's legal as long as he stays on the shoulder. I told her I hope I'm as much of a badass old bastard when I get that old and she said it was on her list, too.

You better have good tires if your going off the road there at hodge, lots of big rocks that could puncture old tires. Lots of people doing the rapid fire thing (I mean it is fun to waste ammo but if you can afford to do so) and people shooting too close to other people especially later in the afternoon so be sure to practice shaking your head.

Been going out there for 30 years . My a/c stopped working to hot to screw with it. I will go up prior to dove opener and fix. Going to be a great quail year. I put shooting gallery targets up for 22s for the kids. Flipping, flopping, spinning, etc. some hanging steel. I am going to waterjet some rabbits, squirrels, quail, small hog steel targets.

It's pretty hot. Plenty of desert to shoot in though.
