5k for safe? I spent about a 3rd of that and I love my liberty fatboy Jr extreme. Sometimes I wish I would've went bigger but overall I'm satisfied with it

I really like my Secureit cabinet. Yeah it's not a safe and it's not meant to be. And it was like $200 - $300 more than I wanted to pay, but it best met my needs for capacity and organization.

All my stuff is insured for loss in fire. I don't know that any firearm that goes through a house fire in a safe is one that you'd still want to own even if it "survived". Plus I don't have anything fancy or expensive.

Just be discrete with where you place it for some security by obscurity.

As a fabricator for over 40 years and a guy who appreciates all gun safe construction I have to ask the question: what makes you think this safe is more secure than any other "quality" safe out there?

I’m actually thinking about getting a Secureit FastBox 47. I have one AR and two pistols. Anyone have any recommendations on alternatives?

A UL tested TL30x6 is a safe to protect valuables from bad guys until the alarm system triggers an armed response by people with badges. These other things we call safes are to keep honest people honest and to keep kids out. But you can cut right through them with a battery powered circular saw with a metal cutting blade in it. Sad but true. Though I know a lot of people kid themselves about the protection afforded.

secureit cabinets are just overpriced nice cabinets. i friend of mine had a $500 fire proof safe, during the fires in california he lost everything except his guns. so yes, get something fireproof. i would.

Several Videos available after the Camp Fire in Paradise California, no Fire Dept. at all in that Fire Storm, the contents of Amsec BF series safes survived, documents at the bottom did not burn, the safe properly sealed itself and had to be opened by a professional. You do get what you pay for, they even have a BFII series now.
