Rifle Gear Says Pickup Times Running Longer Then 10 Days

I just heard back from Rifle Gear today regarding scheduling my pick up. I was trying to set up an appointment for Day 14, but was advised that in some cases it is now pushing 15 to 17 days.

I picked up on day 14 and was cleared day 10 was pending

Took me 14 days to get my sig out of jail from a different FFL. I basically called every day after day 10 hoping for good news.

I've only tried the email route and they seem reasonably responsive.

Based on some of the previous replies, Day 14 might be the new (hopefully temporary) norm.

I did get an email today letting me know that as I am nearing the completion of Day 14, my DROS is still pending. Their suggestion is that I should try for an appointment on Day 16.

Update: my appointment now got bumped to Day 16. If this continues, I may very well be picking up this firearm and DROSing another one the same day.

Fake crisis created by the DOJ. 99% of background checks done online through federal system within 3 minutes. They are using the same database and an in state one. Yeah I can see a delay if a DROS is kicked out of the automatic system but anything else is just BS. Other states aren't having a background check problem.

Today's my 15th day waiting, I've been calling daily to see if it has come out of pending that way I don't drive there and wait in line for nothing.

My background went through and I was able to pick-up after Day 16 yesterday.

I hope a lawsuit comes out of this. That seems to be the only way for the situation to improve in this state.

And if the lawsuit is successful... nothing will change. Only chance we have is for the feds come in and take over. Sacramento has an extreme disdain for law.

More than likey theres only one issue. The Ca political system . Working exsactly as the Dems want it. The back ground check in many other states is instant. With firearm released in mins.
Even if the back ground check in Ca is not instant . To take 10 days is a questionable , for a back ground check to take 20 is a absolute joke. When any patrol officer can know any criminal offense you have ever had in mins of not seconds. This is nothing but Ca politics at Work.

16th day was the charm. While in line there were still 1st time buyers. I gave them my stance on a first gun and showed them all the options. Plus he had to get an FSC card first...
