          Posted on other threads,I was cleared on day 10 a rifle and pistol 2 different stores.WHY I dont know.

                Today on day 10 I got the call from Riflegear that i was cleared by DOJ. I guess I got lucky.

                    I wrote my social security number on the the form, not sure if that helped speed it up.

                          I totally understand reservations on writing your SS down when its avoidable.

                            Neither speeds up or helps, no reason to be not sure - you can be sure of that - has nothing to do with the CA state based background check - they don't ever use it or have access to it from the 4473 - it's not called in or checked on, it's a red herring by the Feds.

                            Doesn't do squat - zilch - waste of ink and a pen stroke.
