    Elk Grove Gun Room!

I saw this link in another thread.

Maybe the EGGR should take a look at this link below, since they charge $36 and hold the gun for 11 days on PPT's.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. I don't think I'll ever go back there again because I don't agree with their "no evil weapons" policy at their range.

February 27, 2001...that was just a few years ago. Wonder if they have done anything like this more recently?

The one and only time I ever been to the Gun Room was my last. I went there with my friends to check it out, as we like to look at any and all gun stores we can. I was dumb founded by how poorly kept the range was. There were piles of empty cases about knee high. What also bothered me was that they were making people wait to get a lane, but less than half of the shooting positions were even taken. To say the least I will never be doing business with that store. I'll stick to good old River City Gun Exchange. Though the new one, Just Guns out in Sacramento is looking very promising.

my experience was quite similar, and no one there wants to really answer any questions or really offer any service unless you ask about some of their more expensive rifles

I concur. Especially since I went there with you that day.

Almost forgot. Prices seem to be quite high too for pretty much everything.

With all of this negative feedback, I wonder how they stay in business? Costs something to run the lights, the ventilation, keep inventory, pay lease or mortgage.. and insurance. Odd.

I know a lot of people that go there to use the range. They're also the only? gun store in the EG area that I know of.

They probably won't be around much longer.

They seemed OK when I went there...no cool stuff though...mostly all glocks and fifty variations of the 17HMR rifles...the guy doing my PPT was a dunce..it took 1.5 hours from start to finish...I probably won't go back there again.

I got there on occassion, because it's a close range, and I don't need a membership.

The range keeps the store open.
