CrapOfornia originally, required first the HSC. Then later realized they were missing out on "revenue flow" because they weren't getting PAID EXTORTION fees on long guns.

So they cancelled the Handgun part, and changed it to, ALL firearms. Hence the FSC designation.

Both the HSC and FSC, amount to a State License to Acquire Firearms. Even gift from father to son.

We've told you to file the Intrafamilial form and provided the link. We've told you that not being the registered owner on a DOJ record is not an issue.

My advice as a long time California gun owner and former FFL holder is submit the Intrafamilial transfer form and worry about other things in your life.

He needs an FSC BEFORE he can file the OPLAW

SO YEAH, HE NEEDS AN FFL For the FSC. NOT the transfer.

And BTW,,,,,,,,,,I was one of the "most everyones" who urged the OPLAW.

Duhhhh.. I went brain dead on that. And I know that too.

You get to a point where you have an BFSC / HSC / FSC card so long that it's just thought everyone has one.

I do agree here, to be honest, and say the same - but Calguns frowns on putting common sense in writing.

                  Yep.
I still have all my old BFSC, HSC and FSC cards.
How long until they nullify the FSC and come up with the next generation card?

I think some of our younger members have no idea what the world was like before smart phones and the internet. I bought my first pistol, on my 21st birthday 27 years ago. The shop gave me a hand written receipt and that was the only paperwork there was. When did the 4473 come into being? Cause i dont remember filling anything out, but I may have. ( edit, i must have since it was 1968 when it came out) I showed my id, paid my money and came back in FIFTEEN days, yes 15 not 10. And that shop went out of business long ago. Record keeping wasnt the same as it is today with DROS forms and fees and CFAR sites. And there certainly werent “instant background checks”. So OP you are cool, and legal with your guns but if you are scared take librarians advise since he has forgotten more than most of us know about this crap.
