Second Amendment Sports in Palm Desert had a line of people trying to purchase firearms and ammo. Only went in for a quick range session.

People are funny now but it's their ignorance that got us here.

I love hearing the stories about first time buyers not knowing about the roster, real ID, 10 day wait, background check, etc.

Maybe now they'll realize what the gun laws are and how they affect them!

I hate it. It shouldn't be something that they have to learn about when they determine that they'd like to arm themselves. We were all first time buyers at some point. I've never been anti 2A, ever, but I never felt the need to be armed until I was married with kids. I wasn't aware of any of the nonsense out here until I had to navigate it. Likewise, I was equally as ignorant of swim meets until my oldest daughter decided that she wanted to be a swimmer. You just don't typically become informed until you need to.

I would probably agree with your statement if it were a bunch of rabid anti-gunners trying to buy a firearm now, but it most likely is not. If it enlightens the public, good, but I doubt this will do anything of significance in this state at least.

Picked up my G21 ( New Car Gun ). In the 20 mins I was waiting outside. 5 people showed up looking to buy guns. All first timers. ( I asked )

I work remotely with a guy from India who lives in the New York Tri-state area. We were talking on the phone this afternoon and he told me about how he thinks Trump is incompetent, how CNN is the best news source, how America is just another country, and maybe not as good as China, and how he wants to buy a gun.

In the past he told me that he hates firearms and wishes they were banned, but this afternoon, Trumps incompetence in causing the Chinese flu outbreak has him wanting to buy a gun. He told me how he wants to go to the local gun store and get a thirty clip Glock.

He is a work colleague, and very good at his job, but I suggested that buying a gun may not be the best option for him right now, that maybe he should concentrate on stocking up on essentials like toilet paper and bottled water.

Frankly, he has two cute little kids, and I really don’t think he is the proper mindset to keep a gun in the house with them. It just isn’t a good idea. He'd likely leave the gun loaded in reach of the kids.

I visited LAX Ammo / Huntington Beach in early March and was the only one in the store, picked up a case each of M1152 and Mk318 Mod 0. This weekend I drove past the store and there was a line around the building! On a lighter note my daughter's friends from college scored a 50# bag of rice and could not be happier.

America is merely a country with better paying jobs and better plumbing to a lot of immigrants. Maybe not all immigrants, but probably a lot of them. 2A appreciation should be a requirement for US citizenship.
