I have cases of ammo from as far back as the 80's. Hell, I still have the 7.62x39 wood cases with the twin 700 round spam cans. With all the gun, then the ammo panic, you would think people would have prepared by now.

I'm thinking Ball Rd and something? I should know, in 1987 I bought a Colt Delta 10mm there, my 1st 10mm.

With all this panic buying going on I am getting into reloading now much sooner than anticipated.
Went shopping yesterday and the flatlanders were having a holiday stuffing stuff into carts.I live in the mountains
No more free rides up here as#wipes, they are limiting hours and who gets in now.
I just wanted to get a few things and they were wiping out everything.
I asked a guy who had 50 or so bottled waters in his cart if he had any chorline at home he goes YEAH.I tell him a few drops in a gallon will sanitize water and there is a REALLY BIG LAKE right THERE!
Think I am going fishing, and the ducks are pretty plump right now

I was just at sportsman warehouse in Milpitas...super long line for ammo. Definitely irrational panic buying. On a good day, you can be waiting for a while there. I estimated that the poor chaps at the end of the line were gonna be at least 1 hour wait.

Ya, Ball Rd. does sound familiar. We used to have a lot of gun shops around here back then. No roster, plenty of ammo, no awb, and the best gun show you could imagine at the Pomona Fairgrounds. At least when we say "remember the good old days", there really was some good old days.

All's quiet on the eastern front. No panic buying in Pittsburgh. Yet...

It was actually in Anaheim at the southwest corner of Beach and Ball. Right on the border with Stanton. Bought my 1st M1 GARAND there! $249.......

I bought before the panic. There's nothing like waiting until the last minute and then, its too late.

                    Good luck.

Had a 16 day wait back then too wasn't it? It was right after I came here from Texas after growing up in Up State NY. CA was still an adjustment.

Panic buying guns when you have to wait 10 days is dumb. The CA commie scum will probably suspend firearm pick up any day now.

Brings back fond memories of buying numerous Oberndorf 91A3's from the Recycler classifieds.....meeting at parking lots for the exchange of ca$h, and a handshake. Don't get me started!
Now as for the panic, it is truly amusing to those of us who have for decades been prepared, with everything from ammo to azzwipes.

15 day for handguns, no wait for rifles.

That's it. I knew we'd zero in on it sooner or later.
