Went to Turner's in Fountain Valley in the afternoon earlier in the week to get an adventure pass and a fishing license. Only a few people in the place. However, there was this one Asian guy there who was looking to buy his 1st gun. He didn't know 1 gun from another. He stood out because I had just read the thread on CG about Asians arming up due to the coming apocalypse. Now that I think of it, I wish I spoke up and suggested to him that he go to the Firing Line and sign up for their Handgun Safety class.

    The irony?

All these people from all walks of life, waiting around for 2 hours within 2 feet of close proximity to each other, in a overly warm and balmy Turners or any other gun store (as they usually are on such days, the recent damp whether encouraging it), breathing, whooping, and sneezing that same air, will likely contract a dollop of coronavirus awaiting to buy guns and ammo.

It's like the perfect petri dish for sharing.

Haha. Just got off the phone with my wifes anti trump, anti gun, socialist family member.

He is driving from store to store trying to buy a 9mm handgun in a panic.

I was tempted to sell him that s&w 910 that I have for sale in the handguns section here. Then thought about and decided I dont want a thing to do with him. The kicker was when he said his wife wont let him keep it in the house so he was just gonna keep it locked in the trunk of his car indefinitely.

I had some strong language for him on that bonehead idea.

Now he wants to store it at his in laws house down the road.

Line was out the door at Turners in Torrance when I drove by.

Did not need anything, just wanted to be reminded of when Obama wanted to eliminate our guns. (~8 years ago?)

I wonder if I can sell my Hi-Point for $500.

ETA: I'll even throw in a box of Wolf Steel-cased ammo.

I went to dollar sore here after truck delivery and got some rubbing alcohol. They sold out in 20 minutes and all the toilet paper as well.

Last night I was at a Big 5 to buy a new pocket knife that was on sale and saw several couples figuring out what to buy. Several were stunned to learn their non REAL ID driver's licenses were no good. Others couldn't believe they had to wait 10 days. Reminded me of the LA Riots days and the 1998 Nostradamus end of the world panic when people were trying to get handguns. But back then, long guns were OTC sales so at least they bought shotguns and ammo.

                            Sorry, I panicked!

I bought 4 boxes of popsicles last night....

                            I only have 2 remaining.

                            Sorry, not sorry.

People are funny now but it's their ignorance that got us here.

I love hearing the stories about first time buyers not knowing about the roster, real ID, 10 day wait, background check, etc.

Maybe now they'll realize what the gun laws are and how they affect them!

More purchase, more tax revenue, more money, more business, good.
