I can't understand why people are now rushing to buy stuff they could also need in case of a natural disaster (like a major earthquake)...be it ammo or toilet paper.

Cause they are seeing signs of of other cities banning sale of guns, ammo, alcohol etc. in other states? Like Champaign Illinois.

yep my local gun store was packed as well. some first time buyers and also folks including me stocking up on ammo. (because im going to the range tomorrow- just want to replenish what i intend to use)

I went into Sportsman Warehouse last night and the gun department had people standing in line. It was packed. Most of the ammo cabinets were nearly empty, the 9mm was sold out. I don't get it....

I'll find out how bad Turner's in Oxnard is at opening time. Need to buy 223 tula, only reason is because I'm taking a new shooter out and don't want to use my brass ammo. Wish me luck.

Yeah is anyone here going out and buying stuff? I'm guessing if your a gun guy you probably are already pretty well stocked, so this must be a bunch of newbies. That a good and a bad thing. Maybe a few on the left will start to appreciate the value of being armed.

Wow, I was at the Sportsman in Rocklin around 1pm and it was normal at that time. Which location did you go to?

My FFL dealer just posted this 30 minutes ago on FB:

Here is the bottom line on the current "panic"... 9mm and 22lr is gone. No distributors have any. What is on the shelf or in backrooms is it. Affordable (ball) .40, .45, 223 and 5.56 is gone and 7.62x39 is almost there. Hollow point is still available.

9mm CA legal handguns are few and far between. Distribuitors are out of Glocks and XD9s. Berettas are fading fast.

Holy Moses, 30+ people waiting for their # in Oxnard Turner's. Glad I'm well stock and have a few Anderson's lower receiver that I purchase a few months ago for $40. I'm off Monday, will see how bad is going to be.

Elsewhere on the net today, someone commented that the people telling us we don't need that much ammo are the same ones buying 500 rolls of toilet paper.
