Bulk Ammo Purchase Question Inside CA

I'll apologize up front for not answering your question. All my bulk buys are from out of state, but why not call them direct or send them an e-mail. I'm sure they'll help. Again, I don't mean to be unhelpful, but that what I do when dealing with any ammo organization. -
Its easy. You tell them the address one of your guns are registered at. Give them your real ID license. They enter it in the computer. In a minute or two the DOJ says yes or no. If you pass ( I did ) you can buy whatever ammo you want. As much as you want.Comment

You need to provide more information.
Do you want to have the ammo shipped to your house?
Do you want to order online and pick up in store?
If so, which store do you want to pick it up at?
Sent from my Nokia 7.1 using TapatalkYes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

LAX is having a weekend sale this weekend. I think their 45 was about $15 a box. Probably the cheapest/easiest thing to do.What ever is the best, cheapest, and legal way to do it here in CA as I am not from here originally and I want to buy at least 500 rounds of .45 ACP to practice with. The online prices seem to be the cheapest. I just want to do it and stay within the goal posts that seem to keep moving here.
If LAX is over priced. Were is it cheaper for a private person to buy in bulk in state without having to get an FFL?Comment

Well if you're not going to do what is needed to have Ammo shipped to yourself then you can do one of two things. What ever is the best, cheapest, and legal way to do it here in CA as I am not from here originally and I want to buy at least 500 rounds of .45 ACP to practice with. The online prices seem to be the cheapest. I just want to do it and stay within the goal posts that seem to keep moving here.

1) Order from them and go to one of their stores to pick it up.
2) Order it online from a company that has a great price and have it shipped to a local ffl and pick it up there.
Either way you are going to have to get a background check done.
You don't list where you are, but if you're anywhere near the I.E. you have two good choices. 2A in Rancho Cucamonga and Rynex in Chino Hills. Last I checked both of them would do Ammo transfers for free. You only need to pay sales tax (if not already collected) and the background check fee.I
BTW, most people don't consider 500 rounds bulk. Just sayingLast edited by morrcarr67; 03-06-2020, 9:10 PM.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

From my understanding you can’t buy online and pickup at any of the LAX stores.
The reason why they have cheaper prices online is so they can ship to a FFL of your choice or to your house if your have a FFL03/COE. But either of those two options will cost you money and probably will negate any “savings”.
IMHO , going to LAX’s parking lot sale (they are having one this weekend) is your best way of getting ammo cheap from them. As another poster has said, try out Target Sports. Look at their pricing, usually free shipping (I believe to any of their stores )with a certain amount of rounds and see if that gives you a low price when factoring in the final cost (ammo, taxes, background fee).Comment

Son was bit by the bass bug since moving inland, those boats are crazy fast.
Any chance to take your children/grandchildren fishing before you sell?
