They specifically teach you in LE, NOT to carry that way due to back injury.

I might carry a very small backup gun there, like a LCP - but not my primary. And there probably aren’t many times where I’m thinking I need to have two guns on me. But if I did....

Very carefully, as with any other carry method.

There was a great article MANY moons ago (early '90's - I still have the issue in a 4 drawer file cabinet... somewhere...) in one of the popular gun mags of the day, that talked about m.o.b. carry; when confronted with a typical street urchin, looking for your wallet, it was a GREAT way to conceal until the last second, as you "APPEAR" to be going for your wallet.

I realize "modern doctrine" has evolved, and yet... I STILL see appendix carry holsters and recommendations... which seems the low-cost alternative to a vasectomy to me (and MANY times, HAS been!).

And if you're a big ENOUGH guy - carrying a big enough gun (full-sized 1911), it is the ONLY IWB you CAN perform! ALL my other holsters are OWB for hip carry, and in winter in particular, I can always dress to conceal it. But I still keep a m.o.b. IWB holster, for those times when I need a full-sized pistol, as CONCEALED as possible.

Link to confirmed cases where AIWB caused the gun to go off?
