Personally I do not like the possibility of driving my firearm through my spine, in the case of a fall or violent evasive action, so I carry at 3:45/4:00 but to each his own. Perhaps other people's spines are not as dear to them.

My little mouse gun was carried that way for about one day......my issue was whenever I bent over my shirt would hang on the grip and I was always tugging it back down.

I have not carried the mouse gun in many years and when I did it was just dropped in a pocket. I could not imagine packing a larger gun back there and sitting down.

Works for me. When sitting & driving I forget its there sometimes. Drawing from that position I merely need to lean forward slightly. Comes out smoothly even with my left hand despite my holsters cant to the right. Is a much more natural motion (for me) to slide my hands back there than to hitch my entire body to the left with a 3 or 4 o'clock carry. It's just like grabbing my wallet.

how do you avoid sweeping yourself without any addition wrist twisting or movement?

do you think you compromise your draw speed with that type of carry?

Nobody in 2020 should be carrying like this. There are far better options available.

i've watched that several times - the usher was already at an extreme disadvantage and his ability to draw was compromised but even so, i can't say a better carry location would've helped, but i get your very valid point

maybe some people never consider a situation where speed has to be a factor - me personally, i want ease of draw even if it means printing to some degree - i pretty much pocket carry the majority of the time

i've tried, for me its an uncomfortable pull which is why i don't do it - for someone not as concerned with a faster draw im guessing its a good conceal spot for many - i don't think i ever want my firearm situated with me where access becomes more difficult because im sitting down

Hollywood movies and TV action dramas du jour love the butt crack carry. Having a holster to manage chaffing I guess is an upgrade.

Never practical in the real world. You know, when there's no director to yell "CUT!" just before bad sheet is imminent.

I live in LA County, so it's purelyy theoretical for me, but I'm left handed, and I prefer to keep the gun grip-left, by my right kidney, angled slightly to the left.

I can't figure out how in god's name anyone would draw from behind their back with their palm towards their body... I have muscles. :-)

I also don't like to keep the gun over my spine. don't want to fall on a block of steel.

I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

How does one re-holster back there...without flagging the heck outta yourself?
