    I don't shop there.

The original point is that the business owner should pay their employee fairly, that shouldn't be put on the customer.

Again you’re missing the point, probably because you’re treating opinion as fact. I could care less that there’s a tip jar, but you seem to be super upset about a single point from my original post that my opinion is if your employee needs to survive off the tip jar they probably aren’t being compensated fairly by the owner from the profit they make. Paying an employee is on the business owner. yes, revenue comes from the customer, but telling a customer paying their employee fairly is up to them is like telling them store budgeting is up to them too.

Edit for clarification: I can care less about a tip jar, but there are people out there that care about customer service and consider a tip jar part of customer service. Obviously there are people out there that care as someone created a whole post about it.

              So let's sum up....

The lower paid worker, whom makes tips, demands a "living wage", which, was answered by the state to do so. So, by logic, if tips were helping these workers to be at a living wage before, then after 2025, there will ne no need to tip. And, I can decrease my tipping every year we get closer to 2025!
I dreamed of owning a (insert off roster gun here)...

Oh yeah....then the earth splits open with me on one side and the (off roster gun) on the other. Then appeared a large red-glowing pit with gavin newscum, diane frankenstein and governor "brown the drain" at the bottom of it, waving their pitchforks at me.

If my job didn't pay me enough to survive I'd find another job or learn some skills to increase the value of my labor. That's how the invisible hand of the free market works. Government interference just screws things up.

If it was a kitchen top FFL that was doing transfers at rock bottom prices, maybe. But most gun stores mark everything up to full price and then try to literally rape you. I wouldn't leave a tip for them for anything. Just the kitchen top FFL. He's the one that's really struggling.

I only tip those who go above and beyond for me. A gun store clerk that acts like he is doing me a favor by being there is not worth a tip. he works for a chain store definitely not. Most of my tips go to the waitresses that make sure my food is the way I want it and I get fast service.

this is what i don't understand how brainwashed the USA/Canada is on this.

in many countries where tipping is frowned if not rudely looked upon, all their service people provide great service. at least much better than the average service we get here.

IMO, this whole tipping this has been a great con made by those business owners to get the customer to gladly pay more while they can reduce their overhead costs. and the lawmakers bought in on the con to then also income tax these workers on "perceived/expected" earnings from tips.

I agree a billion percent. In no tipping countries, service is way way better than here. I believe there may be a sense of entitlement here, rather than a sense of gratitude for a paycheck and fear of being fired.

                            Tip jar? LOL.

Take it up with your employer! Don't like the pay, move on to something else. The customers do not owe you diddly squat.

But it's for good service. That's why your employer compensate you, for the good service. And to retain customers.

Disagree? Go right ahead and provide sub standard service and see what happens. Double dare!
