    No. It’s obviously a toy.

It won't throw off anyone, we're used to seeing homeless in our streets and random jackassory from millennials...

o.c. a toy gun is a childish stunt, perhaps dangerous too. responsible gun owners have enough trouble these days as it is.

I can see the point in doing so, as long as your actually going to be out educating people and not being a douchebag - if you are inviting conversation please be able to converse without doing harm.

A nerf blaster or a squirt gun would be appropriate and easily identifiable as a toy. Makes a statement about what our beloved state feels we are allowed to have.

I have to agree with this statement. The community doesn't need another black eye from a stunt like this. There's already enough drama.

Aside from looking stupid, this is just asking for trouble.
Google people shot by police cause they had a toy gun.

I can buy green paint... I had a cheap pistol that rusted... it was Italian... in 25 ACP....

I painted it with purple spray paint after I found it rusted.... It was what was on hand....

What do you thinks the odds are of this actually converting someone to being pro 2A vs. just looking silly?

I've been thinking about this for awhile. I was denied a CCW due to my "good cause" being invalid.

I figured if I was ever shot, my wife could sue Los Angeles County since I was denied CCW and all I could carry was a toy.

It is kinda stupid. The only statement it conveys is "look, this is a good way to look like a dork".

What is your point as it relates to this thread?
Why would you carry that when there are dozens of better options for concealed carry?
Why would any self respecting gun enthusiast still own SA products?

Hmm, who do I want on my side, a guy who carries a toy gun into a taqueria to strike up conversation about gun rights in a state destroyed by inaction, or the guy from another state who conceals a 1911 made by Springfield.

Please, enlighten me. What have you done for gun rights in the last year? 3 years? What have you done to ensure the Second Amendment rights of your children’s children? Have you done anything in the last several years OTHER THAN merely exist?

Thanks for the replies. Obviously this isn’t going to be for everyone. Everyone falls on the spectrum of how much we care. Some are eager to do nothing, some people are willing to try anything. I don’t fault anyone who does nothing. Some people were put on this Earth to serve and questioning authority just isn’t in their DNA.

I’m going to ask a former DA about the legality of this and probably take part in the “protest.” Most of you are content with donating to the NRA and signing a petition at the gun shop, but I don’t see you doing anything other than that, and that’s not fighting for rights. If that’s all you CAN do then fine, but the liberals destroyed the Second Amendment in this state under your watch, and our current state of affairs is a direct result of that. Liberals go out and protest everything, California gun owners didn’t even get off their *** during gunmaggedon. You want to talk about a black eye to gun owners? Theres your black eye.

The last thing I’m worried about is getting gunned down by police because of a nerf gun. That’s just plain fear mongering from the left that you’re parroting for xyz reason. Yes, some stupid people pointed toy guns at people in public and were shot as a result. We can’t live in fear forever, no matter what the dummy box tells you to think.
