Had an unpleasant experience there as well. Was sighting my scoped Contender with a 14" barrell at the hundred yard range after using the handgun range to put it on paper (did a fine boresighting at home). The range officer said I couldn't use it at the hundred yd. range as that was policy and that only range members could do that. His explanation was some try their sunbird out there and wind up shooting over the been. I said the gun was hardly a snubbie and if cared to look through my spotting scope he could see all my shots were within the black zone. He wouldn't "rules is rules" he said. After a moment I asked why are members allowed to do this? "Does one get more accurate upon joining?" Shrug of the shoulders was his response. Never been back.

Raahauges sucks. I will never shoot there again. It is bad enough the f-ing commies in Sacramento take our rights. I would think a gun range would be on our side. Screw them.

They are WAY overpriced. $32 to shoot for 2 hours in one of the bays. No way.

When I signed on my first and last visit, some grossly overweight lady nagged the heck out of me because the name on my safety release was different than my driver's license. Dave vs David.

I can't wait for them to go out of business.

Yikes. Not sure how they're still in business.

Well I guess I do know, they kinda have a captive audience being that they're in Socal and they're able to charge $$$$$ to use their crappy range. But still.

My perspective as an CRSO is that it is their playground and their rules. That being said, it is a stupid rule. As an RSO my ONLY job there is to keep you, me and others safe, period. An RSO is not a law enforcement officer and is making a big mistake in thinking otherwise. Their responsibility is to enforce the range rules and a range should not care about magazine size, it is none of my business. If you came in with a fully auto gun and let off a short burst I would remind you that rapid fire is not allowed, do it again and I will ask you to leave and get your malfunctioning gun repaired before returning.

The whole magazine thing was neutered earlier this year anyway, even my LEO friends say magazine size is not an issue at this time.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

OP: Isn't there a restaurant named Fudruckers?.....Sounds like where that range gets their meals.
As a volunteer CRSO at a private club, safety and courteous behavior is appreciated, and expected, per club rules. Got a FA weapon?....No problem, as long as it's properly your's. Mag dumps?....Please pick up your brass, and don't shoot any of our infrastructure.

How is any range going to make sure you/they are complying with this rule?

Exactly, I have better and more duties to attend to. After the mag-a-poloza earlier this year shooters would show up and ask us if we will let them use their new hi-cap magazines, and we saw some ridiculous ones, but fire away and enjoy. The guys with their 32 round stick mags hanging out of their Glock 17 were pretty funny to watch as he found out that the gun was now a pig with that full magazine.

Oroville: organized CGN shoots. Worth the drive.

No range master, FREE, cement picnic benches, concrete outhouse, berms to 400 mtrs.

We have fun, folks tailgate, barbecue, hang out under the easy-up; some stayed all day. LE is Forest Service? They cruise through but usually don't stay. Oroville Hospital is nearby. I like to sit, drink coffee, long shot, look through spotting scope, talk about it. Wow!

Downside: gets crowded, and some crazies can be disruptive.
