10 round limit

I was at Raahauges this morning and at the entry point to the ranges the RSO gave us safety instructions. Well one of them was no more than 10 rounds in the gun at a time. I was completely taken a back by this and inquired more he told me that though it is legal to own HC mags you cannot use them with more than 10 rnds. Anyone know anything about this?

Just like how most ranges won't let you shoot two rounds in under 2 seconds, there's also no state law against that.

Never been to a range that said I was firing too fast. Granted onetime the RSO told the rental guy next to me that he couldnt fire that fast. When the guy said I was firing fast the RSO said "look at his target and look at yours." On mine was a group about fist sized his was all over the place.

It's a shame as I live close to both Prado & Raahagues. Can't shoot at either. Time to try out Burro and/or Angeles.

they have the mind set of the commie state. anything more than 10 rounds is assault magazine and only criminals use them. and if the commie state says 5 rounds is safe then they'll amend their 10 rounds limit to 5 rounds.

I was at Raahauges one time to pick up some ammo cans from another CalGunner. They wanted me to sign the waiver and phone the guy to come meet me at the office for the transfer. Said they didn't want me shooting for free. Very bad vibe at the place - I'll never go there to shoot or one of their shows.

I believe it was at Raahagues a year or two ago where their pistol ranges were stacked downrange; one range downrange of another. A round bounced off the berm, deflected underneath a wood barrier (round went through a big gap) and killed another shooter standing on the firing line of the downrange range.

Bad vibe? Yes. Careless management. Surprised they're still open.

I suspect that is the case. What other reason could it be since it is neither illegal nor unsafe?
