Bad vibe? Yes. Careless management. Surprised they're still open.

The bays are private and they leave you alone for the most part. If you don't go crazy on the rapid fire, they shouldn't even notice.

I can't load more than 7 and 8 in my standard capacity Shield mags. Or, more than 5 in the standard capacity mags sold with mini-14s nationwide. Standard capacity mags in a 1911 hold ... 7.

How do you know that is why IAs disallow 10+ mags?

Been going there for years. Heard that brief from the RSO yesterday morning. Continued to use 15-31 round mags. Was never bothered.

With IAs, some may err on the side of caution. None have blatantly stated it but it can be deduced.

It was an analogy to ranges being cautious but only cause they believe the FUD, perhaps.

Maybe , just maybe they are trying to help you cover your own butt . I a LEO sees your 10+ mag he might decide it is a nuisance . By not letting you put 10+ won't be so obvious it hold more than 10 .

This is just a thought for you to consider before ragging on them .

Sucks cause I brought out my Beta C 100 rounder. A double drum would be pretty obvious. Pissed me off didn't bring any 10 rounders for my 10/22 or my PC9.

First time at Lytle Creek today and it was odd. RSO was a pretty chill guy and all. Let some mag dumps go by and a few rapid fires. Always eyeballing about safety and mags though. They had a sign posted at the office saying no high cap mags, and another saying they are no longer selling range ammo due to the new laws. Overall it was a good time.
