I have a few high dollar flash lights, but those don't get in anybody's hands but mine. I guess the flash lights in the OP are as good as it gets for under $3.00

Hey guys, I thought it was a dozen lights in the OP, it was 10. Works out to be just a little under $2.70 each.
Like I said in the OP, I've had a few of these that are 5+ years old and they still work fine. I recieved 10 more today.
300lm's is pretty darn good for $3.00. I'd really like to see if there any other flashlights that are close to the same price and LMS. Please show me/us what you have?
Please don't show us $100.00 lights. I'm sure we all have those.
I've got a $40.00 Streamlight that uses a single AAA battery. I've had it for years. Its a darn good flashlight..I think I'll give these a try in a few weeks.

I have not had good luck with the free electronics I get from Harbor Freight. I started opting for the other stuff - small moving blankets, microfiber cloths.I'm big fan of Harbor Freight's free (with purchase) flashlights:

But I don't lose flashlights very often. I'm sure the Harbor Freight lights are similar quality to the ones OP linked.Comment

The HF ones are fairly crap, using 9 cheap LED's (one or more often die after a while). The Chinese ones in the OP use a Q5 single LED that is capable of a lot more output, and running off a single AAA with good output. You might say night and day, not similar at all.
The quality of Chinese flashlights can vary, but you can get some that are pretty decent for having around the house/car/etc. that you won't "cry" if it gets lost, damaged, or dirty. I have a few similar to the OP's that I like, bought cheap on ebay, and also the bigger T6 chipped ones that make for a decent EDC that I suppose you can call a "weapon of war", as it's a decent strike weapon and quite capable of blinding an attacker at a safe distance - and it's 100% legal anywhere!
These little flashlights are one of the most handy things to have around, I use mine every day... and they make good gifts too!Comment

Hey guys, i recieved the 10 flashlights linked in the OP today , they're not as bright as the units I received last week. They're still good for the price and have a strobe feature that the units linked below don't have. Darn good deal for less than $3.00.
I'm stocking up for Y camp, wife and kids love it. My grand daughter will start going next year.
Oh yeah, I have my high dollar lights but thats not what this thread is about.

I've used the multi pack amazon 1 AA battery lights for a couple of years. I keep having the same problem. They start out fine but after a few weeks or months in my pocket and fairly heavy use they start malfunctioning.
I've been using a Fenix E12 lately and it is really holding up well and I'd recommend it.
I still have a bunch of the cheap ones for emergencies to give to neighbors or whoever.Comment

You seem to be not getting it or just trolling. Like I said I already have multiple quality lights. Fenix, Streamlight, Surefire, OLight, Klarus, Thrunite, Nightcore, etc. Not one of them are in the 50-100 lumen range. Most are around 800 lumen + with a few well over 1000+.
So like I said even though I have plenty of high lumen lights there is still a place for these budget lights.__________________________________________________ _____________

Let me try and explain to the folks who don't get it.
I am a flashlight nut. I own almost as many lights as I do firearms. My EDC is a Zebralight SC600w Mk IV Plus. My secondary EDC is an EagleTac Ti D25Cvn. My tertiary EDC light is Fenix E05. I also own several very high lumen lights and very high Candela (long throw) lights, including some VN modded lights with over a thousand meter ANSI FL-1 rated throw distance.
Despite that, I also buy the exact lights that the OP posted in this thread. Why? Cheap throw-away lights also have their place. I give them out like candy to friends and family. I use them for stocking stuffers. I hand them out to kids on camping trips, because I don't want to lend my high price lights to a kid. If they lose or break a $3 light, who cares.
As for the disparagement of 50 to 100 lumen, I agree, that's way too HIGH. A true flashlight aficionado doesn't buy a light that can't do at least one sub-one-lumen level.
So stop telling the OP to buy a better light. He's way ahead of you on that.Comment

I really didn't want to come back here, but it's probably impolite to ignore a human being who is talking to you.
I am happy I am neither your friend nor family. Moreover, I don't have friends who consider it appropriate to gift "Cheap throw-away" to me. Probably, I have better friends.Despite that, I also buy the exact lights that the OP posted in this thread. Why? Cheap throw-away lights also have their place. I give them out like candy to friends and family. I use them for stocking stuffers. I hand them out to kids on camping trips, because I don't want to lend my high price lights to a kid.
What if it malfunctions, when your kid needs it the most? I can't even imagine what "Cheap throw-away" quality camping gear you buy for your kids.
My kids, family and friends only get the quality equipment, which I would've used myself. It something doesn't pass my usability test, it's not good for my kids either, regardless if they lose it or break it.
Probably, you should stop telling me what I should stop or continue talking about? I believe OP can talk for himself, oh wait, he only knows how to snitch on people.Last edited by riderr; 08-25-2019, 6:59 PM.Comment

One recommendation I do have for the OP, is to fashion some kind of lanyard for your flashlights and make sure your kids secure the flashlights with the landyard to their belt or other parts of clothing. This way, it is difficult to misplace them accidentally plus making it more difficult to steal. And if some needy kids need a a flashlight, they can open the box and give them a new one while always having one on themselves.
Others here might have better flashlight carrying recommendations.
Replacing flashlights all the time can be irritating. For around the house, and gun safes, another recommendation I have is to consider using those battery powered motion detect lights. I have something similar to these velcro taped to my gun safe and it lights up nicely when I open the safe door: https://www.amazon.com/Beams-MB726-A...gateway&sr=8-7
For some locations around the house, I use automatic night lights similar to these: https://www.amazon.com/Night-Light-P...NsaWNrPXRydWU=
Helps provide enough light at night to get by. But of course I also have my flashlight besides my bed. And for vehicles, it is nice to put an extra (or 2) flashlight(s) in its storage compartment.Comment

I don't know which member posted these, I think some of the on topic threads were deleted. These use 1 AAA battery with 400lm. I have a Streamlight that I'd bet these are copied from. Good deal for $3.60 ea.
I'll carry one of these in my pocket just to see how long it last.

i've bought so many flashlights over the past 2 years for our 5 kids it's ridiculous. i swear they lost them faster than i buy them for them - but i refuse to let them "borrow" my good lights, which is why i have packs of flashlights like this stashed around the house - i can always "find" one to give to the kid needing a light for a while. thanks for the link OP - i can always use a couple more dozen lights around the house - might get me through the year!Comment
