OP, Thanks. Its just what I need for the home especially the wife and kids. I've been using an Ultrafire for years. They're about 12bucks plus the box of Surefire batteries (20bucks) per year.

These were on Amazon daily deals like a week ago for 9.99. Great for stashing away for emergency situstions, but i would not edc this light. For edc and heavy use i use my trusted fenix tk15, for reguslr edc i ise my olight baton s2 or s2 whichever is charged at the time. But its a solid buy for those that need them but dont wa ant to invest into a higher end light

Point of sale got me yesterday. Was not really looking for another flashlight. Will be giving this light my real world test. Seems well made. Fairly bright for an inexpensive light. Registered it, response said a set of free batteries is on the way. Will post opinion in the future.

I’m all for disposable flashlights - I’ve got those dollar Walmart lights everywhere.

Also agree about headlamps - headlamps > flashlights

Disposable flashlights are useful under some circumstances. However, once you buy a bright quality one, you'll stop using those small $3 thingies.

Not true. I have multiple quality flashlights and still get use out of these "disposable" lights

Get a real good light. You will never look back. No need to use those 50-100lm toys

Did you bother fo read the OP?

Maybe you should do that and then try to stay on topic.

I have all of them and I appreciate someone on here posting a good deal. Heck, I am about to buy a $200 flashlight right now. (it's an LEP btw.)

Some cheap flashlights are just cheap (those free Harbor Freight ones... what do you expect for FREE!?). They light up, and might or might not work when you need them.

There are other inexpensive flashlights that are actually pretty decent (well built, very bright - using the same LED's as the expensive lights, and fairly reliable) if you shop around and know which LED's they are using.

I'd rather lose/ misplace/forget an inexpensive flashlight and go grab from the "backup drawer" than have blown the budget on one really expensive one...

Sometimes you might have to buy a few "samples" to find which ones are junk and which are good, but it is possible to get more than what you pay for.

I EDC a Streamlight Protac 1L that has never let me down. Once I started carrying it everyday, I couldn't believe I lived without a flashlight in my pocket everyday. I'm just a snook but, I use it while working everyday.

I have a hand full of flashlights the OP is interested in around the house. I been moving towards headlights though. Like others mentioned, for me, I like to have the option of having to hands available to work on something. I still a few good surefire and stream lights.

                                Thanks for the link OP!!

I've always loved Surefire flashlights and still have 4 of them stashed around the house-- including one I bought years ago that must be around 1500 lumens cause it's the brightest light I've ever used-- great for checking around the yard at night, etc.

But can never have too many flashlights for stashing in the car, giving to my family members etc-- always looking for a good deal cause flashlights are like guns and EDC knives for me-- I never can have too many!!
