Not having spoken to your ffl, it sounds like he is misinformed. I'm sure plenty of calguners have shipped guns to buyers in the marketplace and have not had to wait 30 days.

I would choose another FFL . Some (including some gun shops) are adding more gun control crap than even the DOJ requires... Listening to some of the extra cr*p some people are going through just to buy ammo for instance.

Your ffl is misinformed, try another and see what they say. Unless you're selling the gun you may not even need an ffl to mail it.
There are specific rules for mailing handguns but you can ship them yourself under certain conditions.

OP left lots of info out such as from whom to whom. Was it a consignment firearm at an ffl that was subject to 30 day hold. Maybe his hairdresser told him that.?

got some FUD last month from the guy at my LGS near my house - i was picking up my Kahr CM9 and he told me that with NV now requiring PPT's to go thru an FFL they would need to hold the gun for 30 days - im sure he was confused

still don't know EXACTLY what is going now, i've never done a PPT anyway but im sure if i ever do i'll find out

Tell your FFL that you boxed it up 30 days ago, it's been sitting around in your house for that time, and now you're ready to ship it. And as proof, the padding in the box is newsprint from a month ago.

what other "local" restrictions do you mean?

AFAIK, all those "ordinances" were thrown out and we have the same laws as the rest of the state when it comes to gun laws

Is your FFL a pawn shop? If so they may have to hold it 30 days before it can be sold. As far as I know a PPT requires both parties to be present at the same FFL and can not involve shipping.
