range would *not* like that though. you're shooting their stands which they provide for you.

i would've talked to the RO. Nothing really unsettling, and let them deal with or you can move. by walking away, it made his day. but it is your bday, so it's whatever makes you feel better.

      Belated Happy Birthday!

Sorry to hear that the jerk cut short your fun birthday time at the range. You have proven yourself to be a better person by being patient and just walking away from the situation. Hopefully, you will have more fun and good time on your next trips to the range.

Sounds like some peoples mommy's didn't teach them the sticks and stones thing. I love that people are getting offended when the comment wasn't even made to them... Pathetic.

Wow, not sure if I would walk away, get the RM, or just shoot through to my target...

That man was rude and obnoxious. And on your birthday too. What a jerk. What a meanie. What a tool.

Had that happened to me, I probably would have gone to the range master(s). Since they're my buds, I know what would happen to that guy! (Well, I'd like to think I know what would happen.)

And you're right. That petty, miserable excuse for a firearms enthusiast wasn't worth getting mad at. He's the exception to most of us, who'd hand you our firearms and say, Try it out, man!

Hope you still had a good BD celebration and had the kind of cake you liked.

if he's on your right, its time to take out a PTR-91 and give him a brass shower!

It was a great birthday weekend! My wife gave me a 3-9x Nikon scope for one of my K31s that has had a $20 4x Bushnell on it for years. Now I will be able to actually see that 400yd plate. My son gave me 100 rds of .22 magnum, my daughter gave me 100 nickled .30-30 cases for reloading, I finally assembled and shot a Colt Woodsman 1st model that was my Dad's that I have had for more than 20 years in pieces and covered with rust. I found it the other day where I had put it away when I moved to California. I thought it was a basket case and worth only the parts but once I cleaned the rust and got it assembled it actually shot just fine. And Monday I picked up a 1991 Colt Government model that I bought from a fellow Calgunner so it was indeed a great weekend!

You handled it like a adult, no reason to lower yourself to his level. As a rule I think our sport has a high percent of pretty good people...

I had a guy shoot up my target one day. Hed was kinda being a little prickish about it. Well I also shoot my pistols at 100yrds. One of my shells flew into the action of his Garand and it wasn't somthing that could be fixed at the range I didn't do it on purpose either but it was poetic justice. Even his buddy said thats what you get for shooting up his target.

Sounds like you handled it like a gentleman...............BTW Happy Birthday.
