Question about Turner's

Doing a PPT at Turners is like going to Disneyland. A hassle to find parking, then you stand in line for hours only to get treated like a fat lady asking for a bigger piece of pie. Then, when its finally over your just glad its done....and your broke.

Some people have issues with everything they do and don’t realize it’s themselves that’s the problem.


I’ve probably done 50 ppts through turners without an issue that can be attributed to turners

Last week when I picked up my LMT 224 Val the manager was on the phone trying to convince someone who was denied, or was it put on hold, anyway, he thought it was Turners who denied or put his gun on hold. The manager said over and over they had nothing to do with it, it's a DOJ decision....

He came back to me and I told him I'm probably going to read about it on CG and he shook his head yes while laughing.

Well, one. I never timed any of them and they seemed pretty much equal. And besides, what's your big hurry? Did it take all day?

One took 4 hours, one might have been less than one hour.

When buying, you also have to wait for the pickup.

Also: 1.5 hours for an FSC test, 5 minutes for me to take the test.

I'd rather have that extra hour, so will no longer go there unless circumstances force it.

Interesting that you assume so many all did something wrong because you got lucky once.

Problems with PPT at Turners:

1: They have kittens out of their as_ if the buyer pays you in the store
2: It will take forever...multiple managers have to sign multiple random crap papers before you can GTFO of the store.

I've done a few PPTs at Turners and they always take a loooong time to complete.

Reseda. The absolute worst in the chain, for service and worst of all; PPT transactions.

Turner's Reseda is where I got my Ruger Wrangler. I picked it up Thursday and was there a total of about 25 minutes including waiting for my number to come up.

The longest wait I've ever had was doing a PPT with a friend who hemmed and hawed and finally decided 'Yeah I want to buy that AR before the registration requirement kicks in.'

We PPT'ed it on December 30th or 31st and it was nucking futs!

The reason why many people here don't like Turner's is due to the excessive wait times. Sometimes these can be prolonged even more as they can be very anal about paperwork. Then there are "some" employees that are annoying, think they know everything. I think those are the big 3 reasons.

Other than that, I think we should support Turners, rather than bash them. It's tough to be Turner's in California.

I drive a truck. And not a Turners truck. I've seen a few negatives about other gun shops I thought were totally unfair, Ammo Bros came up recently and I see no problems with them. The Shootist in Temecula was another. If all these accusations had merit those shops would have been out of biz long ago.

I have a BIG PROBLEM with Ammo Liars.

After being a loyal patron for 10 yrs after they first opened their first store. I draw the line at patronizing a business that has a dedicated store policy that REQUIRES THEIR EMPLOYEES TO BLATANTLY LIE TO CUSTOMERS.
