Question about Turner's

I laugh at the Turners complaints. Either the poster isn't telling the full story or they (the poster) screwed up. They do take a lot of time to cross their I's and dot their T's. Real nervous nellies.
In my experience Turners are no faster nor seem slower at PPTs. They are the biggest and by laws of probability they will get the most complaints.
BTW, I ignore trolls.Last edited by cantdance; 05-30-2019, 7:13 PM.Comment

Your mileage at Turner's depending on location will vary... except for 1 location on which just about anyone that has visited at least 5 or more different Turner's stores, including that 1 location, for ANY reason will agree:
Reseda. The absolute worst in the chain, for service and worst of all; PPT transactions.-----------------------------------------------

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?Comment

Some turners are very busy. Very very busy
If you PpT call and figure out when they are slow.
The employees get bonuses for selling certain types or brands of guns.
They also get perks from selling nra memberships and some accessories.
A PPT gets them nothing except the $10-$12/ is my guess hourly wage.
So no surprise they are not excited for doing paperwork for no upside.Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Go turners if you nothing to do for 3 hours for the PPT and pick out. Never again, I will go to Turners for a PPT. I’ve done over 8 PPTs at turners all but one were horrible.Comment

yes, but at least other FFL's try to finish the PPT process as fast as possible so they aren't wasting time/money.I doubt that there are many shops who like doing PPT. I would think that Turners would do this just to bring in business, maybe not.
I've bought a lot of guns through Turners, it's always a little longer because of all the checks and recheck that they do, it's always been better then Ammo Bros, atleast for me.
Maybe a location would help for suggestions
turners seem to take the other approach. they take as long as possible. on average they take 1 hour to complete a PPT.
aces pawn does it in under 20 minutes. so that $10-15 bucks from PPT actually does cover the cost, while at turners, they are losing money on PPT as i'm sure the profit is eaten away by that clerk taking the entire hour to process.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace... Not ordering from those clowns again.Originally posted by PrepperGunShopTruthfully, we cancelled your order because of your lack of civility and your threats ... What is a problem is when you threaten my customer service team and make demands instead of being civil. Plain and simple just don't be an a**hole (where you told us to shove it).Comment

I drive a truck. And not a Turners truck. I've seen a few negatives about other gun shops I thought were totally unfair, Ammo Bros came up recently and I see no problems with them. The Shootist in Temecula was another. If all these accusations had merit those shops would have been out of biz long ago.Last edited by cantdance; 05-31-2019, 1:51 AM.Comment

Some people have issues with everything they do and don’t realize it’s themselves that’s the problem.
I’ve probably done 50 ppts through turners without an issue that can be attributed to turnersOriginally posted by KestryllYour name has been publicly printed in newspapers and on the web, your expectation of privacy is flat gone.Originally posted by CALGUNS.NETYou have been banned for the following reason: posting other member's personal info without permission. I did a PPT at Turners once. The seller insisted on it. It was for a C&R handgun and I have a FFL03 and COE. I am legally able to DROS and pick up the same day, no 10 day wait.
The manager of the store said that was not legal even with a FFL03 and COE. I had driven 400 miles and combined a family vacation with the purchase.
I could not get the seller to go to another FFL just 5 minutes away that knew the law because Turners always treated him right.
So I had to make another 800 mile round trip drive two weeks later to pick up.
That was the last time I ever stepped inside a Turners store. They recently opened one just a mile from where I work. I am not even tempted to look. Just a quarter mile from work a Sportsman Warehouse opened two years ago. My credit card hurts every time I stop by the gun counter.
Today is my Birthday and my wife told me to go get my B-day present. I said I will go to Sportsman Warehouse after work. My credit card started heating up.Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.
A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.
Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?
